We only have rather small and non poisonous spiders here so I don't particularly mind them.
Which insects really disgust me are flies. I know they don't sting but the big ones are heavy enough to really freak me out when they land on me plus they make this annoying noise and fly against windows all the time.
Edit: And before anybody goes all smartass on me I'm aware that spiders are technically not insects.

Ok, tell me knowing this came from spiders won't change your mind, they're so awesome! I just can understand it if you live somewhere close to many spiders tho... for me, I can't stand pigeons.

I like everything about them except maybe for the disease that some carry

I got a spider bite on the top of my foot while camping this weekend. Now every step I take scratches it and drives me crazy. :(

Bump for half a day to go. Hopefully spider free :)

Saw a huge hairy spider just walk right on top of my workbench in high school. I was scared stiff until it was gone.

As I was reading comments, my brother shouts "Hey, there's a huge spider." Fortunately, he was wrong. It was a roach. They tend to creep in once in a while because of the heat or the cold. It escaped, so now the next few days are going to be full of paranoia. -_-

I got one in/on my car. Everyday there is a spider net on the side mirror (and no, washing the car did NOT help - dunno where it's hiding :/)
