We've had one correct prediction; well done Elricuk.
It wasn't a very exciting race but it was interesting; is Ferrari faster than anyone expected? They sure had a great strategy using Verstappen to stop Hamilton; he got on the radio and said: "There is no way I am getting past this guy!"
Verstappen got close to the fastest time but it looks like Red Bull are firmly in third, I don't think they will get podium finishes without Ferrari and Mercedes cars retiring from the race.
Very unlucky weekend for Ricciardo; this is not how you want your home race to go.
The next race is the Chinese Grand Prix in two weeks (April 9). I won't be home for it but there will be a predicition event. Till then!

Australian Grand Prix
I've been having fun creating cycling prediction events and with the new Formula One season starting this weekend it seemed fun to do events for that as well.
How it works
Predicting the winner would be much too easy in a field of twenty where only six drivers (if that) will likely contest most wins. To make things more interesting you will have to predict the top three finishers in the correct order and do so before the start of the qualifying session on Saturday.
Once the season has finished I will create a special winner's train event for everyone who correctly predicted a race. There's twenty races this season so twenty opportunities to get it right. Once the season is over I will create a new thread to remind the winners so they can get their entry into the train.
Race Preview
The first race of the season; everyone starts fresh and no one really knows what the teams are capable of. The 'winter' tests ended just last week and Ferrari showed good speeds and had everyone talking. All the cars got a little wider which means there will be fewer overtaking opportunities which is a shame.
Realistically there are only three teams that will be fighting for race wins, most F1 followers put them in this order for 2017:
I won't be posting my own prediction for the other races of the season but as this is the first one here's what I think:
