They cannot be refunded, but they can be revoked. :/

Yep. Today, 2 steam friends of mine got screwed because of that. They spent so many keys to buy multiple bundles from someone and the keys got revoked. And this guy had accomplices too. Scammers should be treated like thieves, in my opinion. Anyway, I hope you didn't buy from the same trader that my friends did.

Maybe because they didn't scam ME? They scammed 2 steam friends of mine, as I said. I blocked them to avoid them adding me though.

Naahh, I add them in my steam blacklist when they scam me (only 1 guy scammed me so far, but he got a punishment and I got half my things back) or when they act like shit and can't honor a deal. xD I never put people there if they haven't done anything to me specifically.

Then, either I don't get your previous reply, or it missed the point of my question...(Maybe it's a language barrier thing?)
You said that you didn't -Rep the people on your blacklist because because they didn't wrong you personally, but you also said that you don't add people to the BL if they don't do something to you.
I just thought it was odd that you'd go as far as to warn about them on your profile but not on their rep page where someone who was about to trade with them would be far more likely to see it.
Anyhow, best of luck trading safely.

I think you misunderstood. o.O The people that I have on my blacklist (for multiple reasons) in my steam profile, have wronged me personally. I don't do anything to people that haven't done anything to me.

Because I thought you were asking about the people I was previously talking about. So, you were asking about a completely different thing, unrelated to the topic! :P Still, I already answered this before. Anyway, from the people that are on my steam profile, I can only -rep the first one, because he is the only one that was a scammer, but I already made him get banned on steamrep, so it doesn't really matter if I -rep him here on steamgifts. The others, as I said, were acting like shit and couldn't honor a deal (they didn't scam me though).

Words to live-by (think that's how is spelled.) You don't know how much I agree with what you've said.
btw, I don't think it was confusing at all, maybe it was english knowledge involved? idk, but it was clear to me.

I just saw you left a +rep comment to the scammer's profile (the guy I was talking about). Sorry, but you're 99% screwed (I'm leaving 1% off, because maybe you got lucky?!). Also, check the comment I left in that guy's trade post (that he closed after me and someone else commented there).

Yes, i bought like 3 or 4 bundle from him, dind't know that, the worst thing is, I've sold some keys for other persons, hope they come to talk to me before acuse me of scammer. Cuz the keys as you said, will probably be revoked.
And thanks for the help man!

I hope you'll be lucky and he actually bought legally those bundles before selling them to you. :/ And he had accomplices too, so I hope you didn't buy from his friends too. As I always say, don't trust people with low reputation and always take screenshots when trading outside of the steam trade window. You are welcome.

That's true with any site, though- unless you can verify it has been a month since the item was purchased [since that's when credit card (and thus Steam, etc) revocation no longer applies], in which case revocation typically would no longer be a concern.
As far as Humble, that's easy to check- just find out when the bundle's last day was, and see if that was a month ago or more.
Past that, if you're trading through Steamgifts or Barter.vg and make sure to check the relevant feedback ratings on both sites, you'll be fine. The odds of someone screwing you while having a well-established, positive rep on either site is low enough that it isn't worth worrying about.
If you're trading through any other medium, you're... you're not approaching trading in a well-considered manner. :X.

You can get revoked even after a month (and that´s often the case), The worse case i am aware of was someone revoked 3 months after. But keep calm, that kind of scam doesnt happen so often, so probably it wont happen to you. I was paranoid when i first started buying reselled keys, i bought many and never had any problem.

I think oczilla really sums it up- so long as you're careful about the reputation of the trader (and the trading site), make sure to only 'friend' people on steam using the links provided by the trading site (don't ever accept friend requests for trades through steam), and are careful about 'too good to be true' trades, you're unlikely to encounter any issues whatsoever.
Scams ARE all too common, but they overwhelmingly are based in quick and easy scams directed toward users that don't know to check the things I mentioned. Once you start approaching it with any sort of awareness, you move out of the attention of scammers.

in which case revocation typically would no longer be a concern.
60 days is the federal statue of limitation for credit card fraud. Past that point the consumer will be liable for the fraudulent purchases, so a chargeback is unlikely to occur.
Dispute-based chargebacks can be made for up to 2 years from the point of purchase, but that theoretically ought be of far lower concern than chargebacks by way of credit card fraud.
I'm not aware of any chargeback that can be made after 2 years.
[Though this is based on US law, so perhaps eg, European law mixes things up a bit more.]
Earlier, I confused the 60 day span with Steam's 30 day trade lock duration- I apologize.
In any case, there's always going to be some sort of risk when buying from, or trading with any company or individual.
Your best bet is always to base your purchase decisions on the reputation of the seller and the item.

YES, you can lose the games. I traded 2 tf2 keys for the bundle with F.E.A.R. games and after 4 weeks, my keys got revoked because there was a problem with the payment, they guy who traded with me asked for a refund. I asked Humble support and they gave me the answer. You need to wait at least 6 months after the bundle, so he cannot ask for a refund.
I moved on and I traded again to get the games.
Edit: I had scribblenauts unlimited given by gift link and got revoked. Same with Gotham City Impostors.

I've been trading for bundle games myself - and so far my keys haven't been revoked, but how would you know if it did - would something pop up or will the game just disappear from your library?

K, I'm guess in your case was that saints row 2 a steam gift or was that a key that you redeemed?
