When I check the box that Steam always runs as administrator, it won't start it automatically when I turn on my PC. I tried moving the Steam shortcut also to the Startup folder, but had no luck. When I uncheck the box that Steam runs as administrator, then it starts normally automatically when I turn on my PC.

I need to run Steam as administrator because Steam Overlay doesn't work in some games otherwise.

But do you have automatically start/logon still on in the steam client when you use the shortcut? Ifso turn that off in the client setting, else steam will override it.

Weird that you have to resort to this anyway, and you'd better off finding another solution for the issue.

I had it on and off, but it didn't do any difference.

Yea, I had the same message, but I clicked on don't show this message again. The problem is Steam as administrator works fine. It's just that it won't automatically start with the PC. I have to manually launch it every time.
