will Steam Wallet Card brought from usa work in india?

Okay so my dad is gonna vist usa if i tell him to get steam wallet cards for me will they work for me here in india?has anyone ever tried this as steam store for India is in Dollar currency so

Usually if you have a different currency than $ , it will convert the $ to your currency. so 10$=7,27 €

Steam Wallet cards are practically international. So yeah. It'll just convert from $ to your local currency(Rupees, I think. Correct me if I'm wrong).
