I'd like to start playing some games for which I only need a mouse.
Preferably steam-games :D

The Sims 3 doesn't require a keyboard (except for when you're typing out a character name)
Neither does Chess ;)

I would be amazed at anyone who could play Dota 2 without a keyboard for skill use or unit selection.

You'd need a mouse with 4 programmable buttons.

+6 active items +x for extra units, so yeah.. no.. its not gonna work out.

Checking your unplayed games, I'd have to say Deponia, Splice, Superbrothers: Swords & Sworcery EP are quite nice and can be played with mouse only if you want.

Musaic box is from the same maker and also very awesome, if you're into puzzeling and music :3

Well the answer is in your question ;) All point and click adventure games. Try Machinarium and Botanicula, they'r pretty wicked. Gemini Rue is interesting if u'r not against old school grahpics. All them old school rpgs like Fallout or Baldurs Gate also requires mouse only. Dunno what ganre u prefer but there's a lot of choice

upd. saw u own Dragon Age. Give it a try, it's worth it. And only key u need is a space bar ;)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

thanks! yeah Machnarium was pretty fun, don't know why I didn't finish it..
also, i'm not against old school graphics :) Will look into them
Edit: yes I have Dragon Age, but I can't istall it atm because my hard drive is full haha

Civilization 5 can be used mouse-only (although you might have some problems trying to look for a help article without typing.)

Also,

  • Little Inferno
  • FTL (if you can bind a mouse button to pause)
  • Don't Starve

Hah, I was going to post this as well, last night. Sometimes I'm just in a comfortable position where I only want to use one hand.

Here's what I can come up with from my own library. Mostly puzzle games. This is by memory so maybe I get some wrong, please correct me if I do

  • 4 Elements
  • Audiosurf
  • Bad Rats
  • Bit.Trip Beat
  • Cities in Motion
  • Cogs
  • Crayon Physics Deluxe
  • Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble
  • Don't Starve
  • Faerie Solitare
  • Osmos
  • Puzzle Kingdoms
  • SpaceChem
  • Superbrothers: S&S
  • World of Goo

YES! that is exactly what I meant, sometimes I'm in a comfortable position and just want to play a game. haha pretty awesome you guessed that! Also, great list! I will look at all of them and try to buy some from which I already know they're good, in the next steamsale. Thanks!

Yeah, hope that comes out soon. CoH is the best low-level RTS out there, even now.

Also, Civ 4-5 then. Or Frozen synapse, if you're OCD.

Sid Meier's Civilizations / Age of Empires / Total War (? Not entirely sure about TW, not played it)

Total War is a bit difficult to play with mouse-only. Camera, pausing, group-selections are better with the keyboard.

Total war is great, and yes Don't Starve is definitely on my buy-or-tradelist

If you buy Don't Starve, buy direct from the developer's site (Google search for Don't Starve)... You'll get 2 steam keys for the beta 1 for you and 1 for a friend/SG giveaway (and then a free 'upgrade' on release to the full game) AND 2 Google Chrome keys, again for the beta (and I guess they'll get upgraded as well).

Oh, and before anyone calls me out for subtle begging. Don't bother. I own Don't Starve already - why would I beg for something I own?

If you don't mind old games:
Master of Orion 2
It's a great game for the "comfortable position". You only need the keyboard, if you want to change the names of colonies etc, which isn't really necessary. And it is turn based.
