Anyone alse has a specific problem with certain genres?
When playing Bioshock 1 I had that problem because there was no fov slider. To change it you had to bind an fov to a key but using iron sights and stopping iron sights resets the fov which made the game unplayable for me. Not sure if binding the fov button to right mouse click (default iron sights key) would help. http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Home this site is great to see if any games have way to modify the fov if it is not in the game menu.

It usually happens if I take a break from FPS games for a while. After a while my brain reacclimates, but I try to play in short bursts until it goes away.
The only game where I had motion sickness from the start was the terrible 2010 Medal of Honor game. The FOV is so low on that piece of junk that it made me queasy and gave me a headache. It was so bad I had to lay down. I did end up finishing it, but I think the only way I could do it was with an .ini edit that fixed the FOV.

MIT's Media Lab found back in the 80s that FPS is more important than resolution to realism but games tend to be sold off screenshots so publishers target details at the expense of performance.
Recent VR research has proven this. Jerking around the FPS & adding lag can make people sick to the point of puking.
Valve has recently addressed this with their new Lab Render Engine that dynamically adjusts details to keep FPS up and lag down. This render engine is a free plug in for Unity now.
(This is something that has driven classic home computer (hard 60Hz) and arcade (some 72Hz) players crazy for decades - modern consoles have wireless controls that add a couple frames of lag and then LCDs that add a couple frames of lag. 2 frames means 15Hz - 4 frames means 7Hz - that's 10x longer to respond to input on a modern console compared to an Atari or Commodore computer from the 80s and even worse compared to classic arcade machines.)
Also, be aware that leaning forward and back changes your expected FOV and it will only match what your brain expects from reality at 1 position (and even then only for 1 eye). I've seen lots of people move back and forth depending on how hard they're concentrating or even rock back and forth unconsciously and then complain about nausea.
This is one reason why most console games are over the shoulder perspective instead of first person - it's much harder to predict people's position in front of a TV vs in front of a monitor and over the shoulder perspective is much more forgiving.
Imagine the screen as a glass window and the angle made from the bridge of your nose to the edges of the screen (there's a few engines that calculate it vertically, mostly those targeted at consoles only). PC games are often designed for 90 degree FOV which is having your face quite close to the screen (90 degree is the corner of a sheet of paper). (Some people crank theirs up to an unnatural FOV like 120 so they have more peripheral vision in competitive games.)
TL;DR - reduce details & resolution to keep FPS up, don't use wireless controllers or laggy LCDs, play 3rd person, move your head closer & further until you find the sweet spot for you, then avoid moving from that sweet spot. If you catch yourself rocking back and forth stop it.

Yes i experience it with some certain games aswell.Too bad my list includes some real cool games like Fallout New Vegas, Portal 1&2, Borderlands 2(Strangely i have no such problem with the first game),Half Life 2 and Perfect Dark Zero(the most terrible experience among all of these) are the ones i can think of atm.

I get really sick when I play certain first person games where I have to move around a lot like mirror's edge ;__;. I just started polarity and after 5 minutes I felt like I'm on a ship the middle of a storm. So anyone else has issues with certain genres?
