I now get a "banned" message on sgtools:
You were caught trying to cheat the system or entering a sgtools protected giveaway without permission.
I'm 100% sure I did no such thing. Is this an automatically triggered thing or a manual ban? I would like to know what triggered this. I only used sgtools for puzzle giveaways, and I solved all of them by myself.

It's a manual ban, nothing automated here.
It has to do with misuse of giveaway feedback to pass some sgtools filters. In short, marking as not received giveaways that otherwise would make you not pass the rules.
If you think this is a mistake, you can add me and I'll show you some data to discuss it.

There seems to be some inconsistency between the "Number of url given" for this giveaway (75) and the Sgtools Entries list (23). Is this a known issue, and is there a way to see the full list of those who got the link?
I'm asking because this (long finished) giveaway is a gate for giving ungiftable keys, and recently some keys were taken by unthankful ninjas. I'd like to see if I can find some insight about potential "suspects" by going over the list and possibly fine tuning the filter (using a new giveaway).
Thanks!

So I just tried to enter a protected GA and SGtools says that I've been banned because I tried to enter a protected GA without permission. That never happened. Anyone has had this issue before? What should I do?
Thank you in advance to everyone of you and have a great day!
PS: I sometimes do go to a entered GA that's gonna be active for weeks and take my entry away if I need the points, re-entering later again... But it shouldn't be a problem because I have already go through the rules checking, right?

You were not banned "without a cause".
Yesterday I checked last months anti-cheat data and caught what looks like 6 people using misuse of giveaway feedback to bypass sgtools protected giveaways. You can see that in this thread, but so far none was a mistake.
If you want to discuss it, feel free to add me.

It says I have unactivated wins, which is not true. Even the tool itself agrees: http://www.sgtools.info/nonactivated/kevinsnow
It's been like this for days, I've tried resyncing with Steam like half a dozen times, what do I do? D:

Looks like its detecting that I have unactivated wins even though I already activated them. Tried resyncing on both SG and on SGTools. I think it has to do with winning Typing Instructor for Kids Platinum 5, as it didn't appear in my Steam library after activating the game. It also shows the option to buy the game, but I own it.
Okay, I figured it out, and I believe that I won the Mac version of the software game. What do?

Bummer. Thanks for the advice, I have created a support ticket so hopefully everything gets resolved!

Hi, I made an error, I added a win game (steam gift) to my inventory instead of placing the library.
Your account is flagged as having some unactivated Wins or your profile is Private
I add game win in my library (after 2hours) and resync SG but nothing, do not pass the tests since sgtools , is there a solution?
Comment has been collapsed.
Have you tried to resync sgtools? Using sgtools, I see no unactivated games in your account.

Hi : )
Hopefully I'm at the right place here. I made my first GA with a SGtools entrance hurdle and I'm getting a red alert on the "Invalid giveaway entries" section. I only posted the link to the SGtools-check here on the forum, nobody got the direct link to the GA from me.
I'm really a bit puzzled, because the user would have gone through my basic filters, but that (s)he is showing up there, means, that somebody, who already got the link to the GA, gave it to him/her directly, right?
What can I do about this, now?
The GA has a few hours left and I don't mind if somebody else enters: Go! Go! Nippon! My First Trip to Japan

Blackguards - Deluxe Edition
Blackguards: Untold Legends

S/he has 4 multiple wins (private profile, can't check for not activated wins) and %75 of wins from private giveaways. I rather suspect many of them through bypassing SGTools checks.

Not sure if everyone checkes for invalid entries but oh well.
Thanks.

So I have a request for SGTools that obviously has some impact on the service, but I feel would make it even better.
My idea is when a user visits SGTools and takes a check to enter a GA, their result could then be cached on the server for each of the checks. When a GA creator is creating a rules check for a new GA, they can "test" their rules check to get an idea of approximately how many users should be able to pass their test. Obviously this won't be as useful for less commonly tested attributes (since there won't be as many cached values, so it might be misleading in those cases) and values will clearly fluctuate (perhaps deleting cached values that haven't been updated after a decent length of time would also be a good idea), but for commonly used attributes it could give GA creators a better idea of how much they are restricting their GA.
Sorry if this has been suggested before - 22 pages of comments is a lot to look through!

Data used to compare with rules IS cached since the very beginning, and all the values are cached, not only the ones that applies to the concrete rules of a given giveaway (they are used on more places).
Problem with this, is that we have nearly 20.000 users, so testing the rules with all of them (or a large part of them) is not feasible since there are some rules like ratios that need some operations. Apart from that, custom rules are hard to evaluate massively.

After all this time, all of a sudden sgtools is telling me that I've not activated all won gifts.
So I went and checked my own username on sgtools for non-activated gifts and it's only showing DLC, which I've activated but I guess sgtools can't really check those on my steam library or something, and Galactic Arms Race, which is no longer on steam's API, according to sgtools.
Any suggestions on what can I do to fix things? :(

You're welcome and thank you. What seems to be usually causing the problem is that SGTools happens to automatically sync at the same time when Steam is temporarily unavailable and I did notice the community side of Steam being down a lot for me yesterday.

I dont know if this have been pointed out but just in case it may be a bug.
You create a GA with 5 keys for the same game but you dont not get 5 entries to count for CV (Lets say you got 4 entries and send the keys, this GA will be shown in grey in SGTools). Then you create another GA for the same game and and the same amount of keys, this time you get more than 5 entries and it counts for CV. What I noticed here is that SGTools counts this last GA as a +5 copies (Orange color) and calculates CV taking away %10.
This is an insignificant "bug" but just wanted to let you know about it, Knsys. Hope this helps you and thanks for all your hard work ;)

I just tried to pass an SGTools check and got the message that I had unactivated wins (and I have activated them all!). After syncing and doing the manual SGTools check from the site, the problem is No Man's Sky (probably, because it's not yet released). Can you add it to the exception list?
Edit: Well, that's strange. I just looked at my public games list and it's doesn't appear there, but it shows in my Library from inside the Steam client. I can provide screenshots, if required.

I have a request: could it be possible to add a rule to prevent users who blacklisted me (as the giveaway creator) from entering? I've always felt that it's very unfair when someone enters a giveaway, when that person blacklisted the giver.

Yeah, I kind of figured as much... Ah well, thank you for the info q:

http://i.imgur.com/ZJ76KBZ.png I got this but I have activated all my wins.
I correctly synced it.

Is there any way to know which ones? I have 3 marked as "non recieved" because, well, they were either non recieved or different games/DLC.
There is a caveat: I started to manually remove games (that is, Support > Remove games from my library) that I won't ever play again because they're either crap or unusable. There might be one or two of those that I won and that aren't on my library anymore (it's been years) because I don't want to keep trash or abandoned or whatever game/app that it's completely deprecated/outdates.

Probably you're not aware of this: http://i.imgur.com/C0AlJQe.png

It is not. Your wins aren't acivated on your account, so you are not eligible for many giveaways that use SGT as a protection. It is the wish of users, who protect their giveaways with SGT to prevent you from entering their giveaways.
And again: no one is stopping you from entering all the other giveaways on this site.
And to clarify, SGT is not generally preventing you from entering SGT giveaways either. It just checks certain parameters. The specifications that the giveaway-creator utilises for their giveaways often include that they only let people pass that have all their wins activated. If users don't have this specification, you can even enter those SGT giveaways.
Comment has been collapsed.
But I did activate them years ago. Is that so hard to understand? Probably you're not aware of this Steam functionality: http://i.imgur.com/C0AlJQe.png
This tool should provide a better checking IMHO, this is clearly a "false positive". I can get the users that I won those gifts from to come and post here for proof if you need it, but it shouldn't be needed in any case.

Your way of answering the question straight forward amaze me.
Well done!
But it still doenst show many of steam sales.
It showed before but now theyre gone, and replaced by amazon deals...?? who buy at amazon?...
Actually there are no steam sales, or mostly not.
Probably the API got wrecked

I have a question regarding a somewhat frequently used rule for sgtools giveaways. The rule is about winning the same game multiple times. How does this apply to giveaways that you have won, but never received the game? For example, I won a game, but it the creator of the giveaway does not send it for some reason. I grumble in my head and mark the item as not received. Since I only enter games that I want to play, I enter another giveaway for the same game and happen to win again and actually receive the game. Would this flag the multiple wins for one game rule? This may sound stupid, but I've actually avoided entering other giveaways for the same game as I was not sure how sgtools handled this situation (and having read people grumbling about multiple wins for 1 game on the forums).

its been 3 days my account cannot pass basic requirements
http://www.sgtools.info/multiple/lazywanderer
http://www.sgtools.info/nonactivated/lazywanderer
Error is : account flagged or having some unactivated wins
My profile is not private neither it has any unactivated wins

Have you tried to manually sync sgtools to Steam? (Upper right corner)
Comment has been collapsed.
Cache renews itself every 24 hours, so it's highly unlikely that you've been 3 days with that error. Unless you were really unlucky and every time that your cache was renewing steam was down.
Apart from that, you can manually synchronize your cache, so just do that.

Hi knsys, I hope I am doing this correctly:
7a69cc8a-3e63-11e6-8f87-04019cc0dc01
invalid entry in:
Clockwork Tales: Of Glass and Ink
Demon Hunter: Chronicles from Beyond
Giana Sisters: Dream Runners
Grim Legends 2: Song of the Dark Swan
Lichdom: Battlemage
Northmark: Hour of the Wolf
The Secret Order 2: Masked Intent
Vampire Legends: The True Story of Kisilova
I honestly don't know why either user bypassed because I don't see why they would not have qualified...

Applied infractions, thanks for the report!
Well they just don't care about if it's protected or not, someone leaks them the link and they just enter. Sometimes they are serving an infraction an they cannot get themselves the url (not the case on the ones who entered your GA's).

O sorry Knsys I forgot to ad that I checked the standard invalid entries on the first car and every other remaining car.
There's one and the same user that has an invalid entry in the first car and in about 90 % of the individual cars.
170 cars/2.5 weeks and only 1 invalid entry, maybe just maybe they getting the point. ^^
