SteamGifts Tools is a tool in a form of a website that lets you do some interesting checks to steamgifts mechanics:

User Scripts

  1. SGTools Helper: Help you create giveaways with SGTools typical options and marks protected giveaways on steamgifts giveaway page
  2. Links to user profile: Awesome userscript made by SilentGuy that adds links to the common sgtools checks on a user profile. See his thread
  3. Links on giveaway's winners page. The script will add a sgtools.info link next to each winner's 'Request New Winner' link in your giveaway's winners list, so that you can easily check them for non-activated and multiple wins
  4. ESGST: An all-in-one script to rock your Steamgifts experience. It integrates to and gives quick access to several SGT functionality from inside steamgifts website.

Tools

  1. Check real cv value (as we had in steamgifts v1) and it's level translation with a detailed log of every game contribution and how they add up to the final number.
  2. Check real cv for your won gifts, so you can compare with your send gifts.
  3. Check if a user has activated all his gifts, useful if you want to check a little bit the winners of your giveaways.
  4. Multiple Wins. Checks if a user has won and marked as received the same game more than once
  5. Last Bunled Games. List new additions to the bundle list of the last 7 days with a minimum of 50 entries, showing the game (with a link to steam), the date since the game is considered bundled and the date when it was added to the bundle list.
  6. Create, manage and enter giveaways with more advanced and complex filters than the ones in steamgifts.
  7. Deals and their bundle status

Limitations

  1. Since CG don’t give us an open API, all requests have to parse your full profile to check your sent games, this will take some seconds (more if you gave away tons of games!), so please be patient.
  2. The site uses a cached bundle list, so if you find a recent bundle game that gives you a full value instead of the 15% one, just wait until the next cached bundle list is ready. Cached Bundle list auto-updates itself every 6 hours starting at 3:00AM GMT (3am, 9am, 3pm, 9pm).
  3. The tool will search steam API to get the real cost for packages that has its point value truncated to 50 in steamgifts, but if the package is no longer available the tool will use the points as CV (50$).
  4. It may sound obvious, but the tool can't check not activated gifts if the profile is private.

A few days ago, I started seeing this message: Your account is flagged as having some unactivated Wins or your profile is Private.

But my profile is public and all the gifts are activated. How can I fix this? Help please, knsys.

That is one of the games that were banned from the store, see this comment on page 83 from 2 days ago.
You can't do anything, knsys will have to add those titles to the whitelist so they no longer flag peoples accounts.

Hey, I came across a peculiar false positive: A user won Grey Phobia (archive link) on 2018-05-13 but both the giveaway and the gifter's account were deleted (lots of not received on gifter's side). To this day the winner has a red flag on their account because of that giveaway.

Normal resync just looks up to the last changed giveaways to avoid reparsing all the pages of the site. If something changes deep down, it needs a full rescyn that has to be triggered manually.

Hi, I have a somewhat strange situation I'd like to ask about.
A few days ago, I noticed that some of the gifts I created were categorized as "Free game" (instead of "Bundled game") in SGTools, but these games are still listed as "Reduced Value" with one star "*" instead of "No Value" with two stars "**" on SteamGifts today.
Could you clarify whether the calculation rules are consistent between the two platforms, or am I encountering some other specific rules maybe?

Sometimes they are added as a free game and later on changed back to reduced value, which sgtools does not handle automatically.

Removed them from the free games list

Hi knsys, I think I've found a(nother) user linked to an old account name - when I checked this user after they won a GA of mine, SGTools found 33 non-activated games on that account, most dating back to before this user joined Steamgifts. I'm guessing that's a case of a persistent link, and not any actual reflection!

Could create the search with steamid instead, i.e. steamgifts.com/go/user/76561198047330685 it's a link to my profile. If someone didn't know but I think knsys probably knows... (Couple days ago I found out about it but I wasn't looking for it)

The link was ok as it pointed to the correct user. I cleaned the cache so it no longer show those games, but to me it looks like a user that deleted his account and created it back when the time needed passed to start blank and remove all the not activated wins from his account.

Knsys are able to see which ones enter without to go the sgtools check route and are able to punish them.
On top he is, in a part of the cases, able to see which ones shared the link, under some circumstances. Obviously i will not share more infos/details about it.

And yes, sadly, sg don't cooperate with sgtools to punish them on sg too.
The cheaters would deserve it.... because mostly the same, around, 50 accounts are involved.

EDIT: It's now corrected for me. Somehow, since Valve has been altering the packages, portal and CS:CZ got set to private and thanks to Carenard, its now fixed for me anyway.

valve is definitely playing with their packages lately, these 2 are merged into HL2 instead of being separate games now and are classified as tools in library.

not sure why CS or portal are flagging now though.

I have the same issue with Half-Life 2: Episode One, i won it in a giveaway a few years ago and now i have a false positive in sgtools.

I just glanced at your library and I don't see either game in it, might want to check if valve somehow caused it to get set to private and you just need to unprivate them(wouldn't surprise me, wouldn't be the first bug with private feature).

I do see portal with RTX and portal reloaded... but those are separate appIDs(does require portal ownership to claim though), adding it doesn't seem to remove the base game from list when checking my own library.

as for counter strike, I see the deleted scenes in your library, but not the main game.

checking other winners of both games on SG and they properly show as activated still, so its something with your account in particular and not issue with the games themselves unlike HL2 Ep 1/2/lost coast which got merged into HL2.

It was indeed a privacy issue. It was fine before they messed around with the packages and somehow the settings got changed to private without any intervention from me. Thanks for the suggestion and my sgtools slate is now clean again.
