Well I was only a small child in the 90s so I can't really say for sure that I "loved" that period. I was just too young to be completely immersed in pop culture. I did appreciate the grunge culture as I got older.

My pre-teenage years were all in the nineties, so I enjoyed being a kid during that decade, if that counts. Good consoles, played old-school parser and point/click adventure games, I got to see the internet becoming a big thing, grunge came and went, cartoons were entertaining enough, so on.
Yay, nostalgia!

Yep, I there is a game few know of that my friend and I spent hours upon hours on. It was / is the best wrestling game out there, and I have yet to find anything that comes close in moves and button configuration / move execution. That would be WCW/nWO Revenge

I know what you mean. My wife was just hired to do a 90's internet radio station and for the past two months we have been researching all the great music of the decade, not to mention the great movies. Terminator 2, Pulp Fiction, The Usual Suspects some of the greatest movies of all time. Here's a link to the station as well,

The song Peaches still reminds me of playing in the schoolyard during recess in those few weeks before summer vacation. Also, my first music class at a new school (4th grade, I think) our teacher asked us to write our favorite band on a notecard and turn it in. I hadn't really gotten into music yet, aside from listening to James Taylor or Joni Mitchell or whatever else my parents played in the car and I certainly didn't know the names of any of those people at the time. I asked my friend what do to and she said "Write Vanilla Ice." I asked if they were something good and she assured me, with complete sincerity, that it was a totally acceptable and cool thing to write down as my favorite band. It would be many a year before I would realize what I had done. xD

I'm still pretty young but all my cousins are in their 20's and through my childhood I ended up playing their n64's and their snes and when I watched movies I always watched their dvd's of the 90's cartoons so I learned to respect stuff in the nineties.

Diablo 2 came out in 2000... and Back to the Future came out in 86 so you have no excuse not to have a Delorian and pick up a copy of Diablo 3 and come back to the 90's. You should also pick up Diablo 2 and bring it there as well to play them in order.

I'm not one of those people who has fond memories of a time just because I grew up in it. There were a few good things I like about the 90s, but overall I wouldn't say I loved them.
I prefer other scifi shows over Star Trek. Most of my favourite music that I listen to now, came out in the 'two thousands', as well as most of my favourite games.
Also I think Chrono Trigger is over rated. I recognised that it is a very good game, it's one of the better RPGs, definitely among the best JRPGs, but I wouldn't place it in my top games list.

Sorry if this is considered spam, but it's relevant to the topic and I thought some of you might get a kick out of it: Play 'Were You a Nineties Gamer'

Coke in a bag/Coca en Bolsita Well in Mexico sell Coca-Cola called "Retornable" that means Returnable that actually is Recyclable so, to buy a coke you have to bring an empty coke-bottle made of glass to the store, and they give you a new one filled with coke, so when we were kids and where playing soccer on the street, we obviously never carry a coke bottle so this was the easiest way to drink a soda :). These days kids just buy a Plastic Bottle.
[The USA Candy] Well USA candies where always my favorite candies, the Wonkas, Gummy Bears, Mentos, JellyBeans, LaffyTafy, Nerds, Airheads, the roll gum from Boomer gum, also I remember went to Albersons to buy some Fried Chicken and Icecream, and eat it on the park with my family.
Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network Cartoons but Fox Kids was the Best, at least on Latin America, with all those animes like Digimon,Shaman King, Bayblade, Medabotz. And awesome cartoons like Oggy and the Coocraches <-(How you spell this LOL).
Also the Biggest Epic concert where made on the 90s called Monsters of Rock Moscow 1991

The PS2 was probably the best console I've ever owned. The PS1 was pretty awesome too. I think you missed out :D

I never owned all these consoles, I don't even think they were sold in my country. So I guess I missed quite some gaming history. As a kid I had Atari 2600 Jr though (I think what it was; then I had Commodore 64 and then, nearing the end of the 90s, a PC - Pentium 133 MHz MMX).

The machine was some hot stuff, bro! With 3Dfx Voodoo graphic accelerator and whatnot. It could run Freespace for example and it was a quite pretty game =) Man I picked it up on GOG gotta play it one of these days, especially that there's some great modding community.

I was still in my teens / under 21. I loved most of the music, games and the TV.
I am a Star Trek fan, and I was a fan of a series not many liked. I liked Deep Space Nine, and I especially liked the character 'q' even if he was in only one episode this series and had a larger role in The Next Generation.
As far as music, I would have to say that the song that is #1 is not at that spot because of quality, or lyrics, but because of how memorable it is and how every time I hear it it brings back memories.
the Presidents of the United States of America had a great song called Peaches among the longest name I think I have ever heard of. However, I think I preferred kitty, or dune buggy, but they had a ton of great songs.
The SNES was released, giving us gems like one of the best games ever Chrono Trigger, Sonic Blast Man I & II, Super Mario Kart, Rock 'n' Roll Racing, so many I don't want to list them because this would go on forever. We were also introduced to the N64, the best controller ever made, and some more great games, like one that was overlooked that I loved. The name of it was Hybrid Heaven.
Random trivia to make some of you feel old. The SNES was release worldwide from 90-92, but not discontinued until 2003. The N64 was release 96-97. Not discontinued till mid 2001.
