Np, thanks, though it's not my birthday? In fact it has been months since my birthday!
It takes a lot of dedication to message every single participant
Yeah. I have kind of started to regret my decision. It's already been about 4 hours, and I still haven't messaged half the participants. I have reached to about only 35%.

Oh, then it was my mistake. I confused your steamgifts cakeday for your real cakeday. My mistake.
Do you really need to message everyone? Those who saw your thread in the first place are probably active enough to see your new thread as well

Np :) It can happen.
Well, since I have messaged some of the people (about 50% there), I need to finish it else it wouldn't be fair. Even though you do have a good point. At least 80-90% of them must be active enough to notice the new event without me messaging them. It's just, I don't know, I don't really know how else to make things right.
Also, I guess I am crazy :D

Thank you for the comment, and for another event! :)

Thanks for info! Super funny puzzle
WL for the effort

I liked your first attempt, and I like this one too. But how did you figure out that your link was leaked? Too many participants? Some users are doing some real good detective work on this platform. I would gladly help, but I am doing detective work with German invoices on a daily basis for my job, so my deduction powers are tapped out by the and of the day :)

Thanks!

Nah, in fact I have way more participants in just a few hours in this event than I did after a day in the first event (which means that it was successful, since that was the purpose of that event).

Lol... thanks for the offer. Well, the leak was easy to identify. SGTools lists them automatically. However, it doesn't/can't tell you who leaked it, or anything else. I discovered it to be a case of multi-account card farmer on my own. I can't leak the details of my method because there's a very easy way for the farmers to circumvent my checks, but only if they know what I am checking for.
Anyway, I am thinking about something to help improve the community and get rid of such people, or at least protect the interested from such cheaters. let's just hope that this idea of mine doesn't end up just being an idea, like the hundreds of things I plan on doing everyday to never actually do them.

I'm sorry to hear you had to go through all of that trouble to find the cheaters/leakers, but as tysroby said - users like you make this community great! Thanks!

I think that happened after the first event, I think. And the difference in value is HUGE (not the SG adjusted value, but full steam price).
Also, I had not created GAs for several at a point. Ok, maybe that's not leeching, but I guess I was slacking?

It's not so interesting as it sounds. What I have to investigate is why certain invoices issued to the company I work for by our suppliers, were not paid or not fully paid and then solve the problem. It involves a lot of e-mails and some phone calls.
Doesn't sound like a dream job anymore, right? :))

Haha it would still be for my gf. She is a lawyer and the sleuthing is her favorite part of the job, whatever needs investigating (even invoices).
I think she would be happy working full time investigating insurance claims if that meant investigating for a living.
But yeah not for me. I hate phone calls. I hate emails lol

Second attempt at creating some GAs. Read this for the previous attempt.
More info about the previous event can be found in this GA:
https://www.sgtools.info/giveaways/79bd23ec-fc42-11ec-a730-fa163e0a8583
I am keeping this one a lot simpler this time.
Note to self: I might need to update this, add some info once I create the puzzle.Anyway, I hope this event doesn't get spoiled like the last one.
Apologies to the previous participants. I'll try to make up to you guys and contact each one of you .However, since the leaker is one of the participants from the previous event, I'll not be sharing the GA links directly with you. Once again, sorry about that.
1stCheater informed me that my puzzle is kinda useless against those who use ESGST (because of how it formats links apparently). Thanks you!
So, instead,
hereis something boring butproven. guess I spoke too soon. jigidi is proven to be a bad puzzle for stopping bots!In case someone knows of any loopholes with the current setup, or has any suggestions for more puzzles, please feel free to let me know.
I am already aware of zelgh magic guide to basic sg puzzling (thanks Frannc for the link)
My notifications/inbox is flooded with messages, specially because I am also pinging all previous participants, so that's personally messaging (as in commenting on their GAs) a few 100s of [mostly active] users here.
So, in case I miss someone's message and don't reply, please forgive me. I certainly didn't ignore you.
Also, to all the welcome-ers, well wishers and bumpers, thank you all!
Update
After about 8 hours, I have informed all the participants from previous event. In case I missed someone, sorry, but I did my best.
Also, I did BL a few along the way (I think just 2 people). Feel free to reach out to me in case you are one of them, preferably on steam.
Success
Just checked the ticket I created after the first event. The accounts I reported have been perma-suspended!
I few less accounts to worry about. Only a few thousand more to go.
Heads up
You might need to set your steam profiles to public in order to pass the SGTools rules.
Update v2 - Leaks Again
Man, this time around the leaks are even worse than before. I mean it seems the leaker didn't even care to read this description even a little. This whole thread is about there being being a leak in my previous event and me having to recreate all the GAs. And if they read the description, I can't believe they can be dumb enough to still leak links this time.
The leak this time is even worse. All 10 GAs have been leaked. There are a total of 59 invalid entries so far, and obviously at least one of the valid entrant is the leaker.
Sadly, this time I am too tired and busy to bother with deleting and then recreating all the GAs once again. So, I'll probably just re-roll if any of the invalid entrants win, or maybe delete just those GAs.
Also, I apologize about this, but expect huge delays with distributing the keys. I'll probably check each winner somewhat intensively, so it's gonna take me a lot of time.
