I won a game but received a key for Woodle Tree Adventures instead of the listed game. I believe the user when he told me he was new to listing a giveaway and could not find the WTA listing and used another game instead (not knowing about freebies being ineligible). Anyway, I'd very much like to have the trophy cup icon with the red "1" removed for this win.

Wait 7 days and mark as not received, that's usually the way to go.

Mark it as not recieved. If seven days haven't passed, wait then mark as not received.

if you feel generous, write in the ga that you allow the creator to delete the giveaway.
then he has to contact support.

Mark the game as Not Received, so you don't have to see that icon. Getting a NR doesn't hurt a giveaway creator in any way, unless staff notices suspicious behavior involved with it, and suspends them for misuse of the site. In this instance, that wouldn't occur.

Then, leave a comment in the giveaway indicating that you agree to a deletion.
Winners themselves never can put in a ticket for a game's reroll or deletion, but so long as you leave a comment in the giveaway noting that you agree to such an action, the GA creator has all they need to push through a deletion ticket without issue themselves.
They can also push it through if you simply leave it Unmarked on feedback, and they indicate (with screenshots) that they couldn't get a hold of you, but that's clearly a lot more stress for them to do. If you're not actually away from the site, didn't receive the correct key, and aren't trying to strongarm the creator into giving you the listed game, then there's no reason to leave the feedback as unmarked [as opposed to posting a message in the giveaway], unless the GA creator has indicated they can get a hold of the correct key for you soon (and even there, you should still post a message in the gib, so as to not risk the GA creator getting staff to reroll on you for non-response).

it still doesn't sound fair to the creator..
maybe we should contact the steamgifts admins for the option? "hiding" would already be good enough right?
it should be easy to implement. and you can be sure that whatever happens, the creator isn't hurt.
i prefer a direct approach / perma fix.
(i only have 1 win, so i don't really know why one would want to hide a win lol)
