The Goat game has far too many bugs intentionally.

Firstly, please don't complain about what kind of games are being given away here. Secondly, NOBODY on SteamGifts is required to give a game away. We do because we WANT to contribute to the gaming community and share our games. We're not made of money and you must understand that not all of the members here can afford to give away a $50-80 game all the time. Each contributor is entitled to give away whatever game they want regardless of its price tag or popularity.
Regarding the abundance of points has to do with our unworthy games. The site was down for a week and people stocked up on games, so expect a lot of giveaways. After their stock is over, the points will return to normal.
Bottom line:

I hate it when people call any game a "dump".
Someone mentioned The Velvet Assassin as a dump- I so wanted to try that game but couldn't afford it at the time and was so happy to have gotten it as a gift.
No game is a "dump", each and every game you see here is someone taking from what they have and giving it in an act of generosity to someone they don't even know.
It doesn't matter if the person giving the game away doesn't want the game for some (any) reason, they could have easily given it to a friend or made a giveaway in a closed group, but no- they are giving everyone a chance to win.
And why? Simply because they are really cool people who know that the game they are giving away could make someone happy.
Bitching about the "quality" of the games being given away at the site is the lowest thing anyone can do, not to mention insulting to everyone who's ever made a giveaway.

I was joking about Velvet Assassin being a "dump" (whatever that means). It's actually rather good :)
It is, however, a bundle game and, as such, hardly gives the OP licence to whinge about the quality of other people's giveaways, when all he/she has managed to contribute is a solitary bundle cast-off.

I understand what you mean about joking but still, being in a bundle or not it's all the same to me.
What matters for me is the act of giving :)
Nowadays there are not a lot of games that have not been bundled at some point and the fact that you can give them to a friend or in a private group still applies so the act of giving is, in my eyes, the same as for a non-bundled game.
That's why I'm against any CV or levels or anything. Especially when you think about how unrealistic CV values for people from different buying regions are (not to mention other ways of manipulating CV).
But, I respect the opinion of those who agree with making a difference between bundled and non-bundled games, CV and levels.
People have a right to decide if they want to limit their giving, give to everyone or not give at all.
I am NOT defending the OP, if it seemed like it at any point, on the contrary, any whining about GAs is just offensive and disrespectful in my book.

In many ways I agree with everything you've posted.
That said, in order to incentivise non-bundle giving, if you are going to employ a level/CV system at all, I would agree that there has to be an extra reward/incentive for spending real money specifically on buying a game to give away rather than unloading unwanted or duplicate bundle games.
It's an extra bonus for the community when someone gives away a gift that many people couldn't normally afford (or justify buying) rather than a bundle key which all but a few folks could probably stretch to (or arrange a cheap trade for even after the bundle expired) if they really wanted the game.
That's not to knock bundle games. There are a heap of really awesome games which have appeared in past bundles, and just having been in a bundle doesn't make them any less great. It just means they're more readily available, more easily affordable, and in much greater supply.

You are the first person I've seen put the idea behind levels and CV in such nice terms :)
Thank you for explaining your position so eloquently and politely <3
I can completely understand where you're coming from and agree with all you've said seeing as we do have a CV and level system in place. I would just prefer there was no need for this system as it can be (and sometimes is) exploited and therefore looses a part of its purpose.
As the community here is pretty great I often toy with the idea that the system is not needed at all since, I believe, it would not affect the generosity of the community because they do not need incentive beyond their own generosity. On the other hand, I can see why they would want to restrict the option of entering the giveaways to those who have too shown generosity to others. After all, this is the web and not everyone has the need to be well-intentioned or fair so there should be a system to lessen the risk of a gift ending up in the "wrong" hands.
Maybe a flawed system is better than no system? I really haven't decided yet.

There are lots of cool games being given away! You just probably want those like CoD and MW? It would even be better if I won ANYTHING.

The best games i have played during the last year are all bundled.
The site is free anyway... no reason to complain.

I'm dying. XD
This thread is just so funny, at least I can finally try out the Blacklist.

I'm pretty sure this should count as begging...
I mean... this guy just practically begged to be blacklisted. :P
EDIT: The fact that he's probably already massively blacklisted would explain why he doesn't see quality gifts out there. If anything, the quality went up since SGv2 came back up, not the opposite. Not that it would matter either way, but just makes it twice as funny, that's all. :)
