It's not really a question. Medium/rare is the way to eat it if it's done right. It's like asking if you would like your drink cold or room temperature. Of course you would like it cold (medium rare analogy, pay attention) but you just can't be bothered to make it to perfection and dedicate time into the process so you simply get a glass and settle for whatever comes out of the tap.
Then you become adjusted to it and think you like it and when a person asks you "Do you want ice in your water?" you reply "Naah, I don't really care. I usually drink anything" and that is why people answer "Yes I want it well done" as they are ducking stupid and think as they are always eating well done they should get it.

That's baloney, and even your analogy doesn't work :P
While you might prefer to drink a light fizzy lager ice cold, a complex English ale, imperial stout or a robust Belgian Tripel is better off drunk just a few degrees below room temperature. Also, mulled wine chilled...? There are many different cuts of steak, and different ones are (going by conventional wisdom, at least) more suited to different levels of bloodiness.
Even the above are all simply majority opinion or critical preference. Some people enjoy red wine refrigerated, and all power too them. Taste is unique, and while there may be an accepted wisdom over what is the "correct" way to enjoy a particular steak or drink, if you've tried that, but still prefer an alternative, that doesn't make your opinion any less valid.
Personally I've had a variety of steak cuts, both home cooked and at a variety of restaurants (included among these, a variety of critically acclaimed and Michelen starred outlets, I might add), prepared in a variety of ways, all the way from blue through to incinerated. I've found the combinations I enjoy, and that's simply preference. There is no right or wrong answer, and there is an awful lot of snobbery regarding those whose preferences don't conform. I know of a chef who routinely puts aside sub-standard steaks for anyone who requests them medium or well done, since he views them as Philistines who don't deserve better, and wouldn't know the difference anyway. Although, personally, I don't like most cuts of meat well done, I no longer eat at his restaurant on principle :)
Well, it's all about opinions :) I'd chat longer, but I need to go and rescue my 2001 Chimay from the microwave before it boils over.

My parents always hated me because I always wanted my steak well done. Then I went and plopped BBQ sauce on it. :)

Jesus Christ. Only thing worse than BBQ sauce is probably Ketchup on a steak. Basically at that point you go"Fugde the taste of this great meat piece, I will need to make the meat more tasty with an extremely overriding taste so I simply eat the meat for texture". You are basically ruining your own stake piece by putting on BBQ sauce that makes everything taste like BBQ sauce. Your parents should hate and disown you.

Congrats on beating that evil game! I rage quit myself.....
but as for steak it's not my favorite thing (I prefer white meat over red meat) but the only way I find it even palatable is medium rare.

I never had steak in my entire life (i'm 28 now), red meat is pretty damn pricy here and for a price of 1 steak i could make dinner for whole family ;)
... although saying that steak tartare is my favourite thing in entire world, but for that you can use some cheaper meat pieces if you know how to prepare it (grind it when it is halfway frozen)

Haha. I feel the same way about Magicka. A friend gifted it to me during the summer sale. Now I'm stuck trying to button-smash The Warlock to death. Would've rage-quit without the autosave. Got another copy from the latest HB weekly sale and gave it away.
