Almost every time I open the Steam Store in a new browser tab I have to log in again, and use the mobile authenticator. My browser is left open 24/7, but not necessarily a tab with the store. Of course I check the box that says keep me logged in. I don't have this problem with Steamcommunity sites (marketplace, for example).

Do I have a browser setting messing with things somewhere, or Enhanced Steam, or other suggestions?

EDIT: It did turn out to be the Steam Ratings script. Disabled it the day I posted this thread and haven't been logged out since that I recall.

I don't have this problem and I use inventory helper and enhanced steam.
My brother does have this problem since as far as I can remember but he only uses enhanced steam.

Happens on Chrome and it's probably due to scripts.

Happens to me for quite a while now. I'm gonna try disabling the Steam Ratings script, which is unfortunate because it's very helpful, and see if it's fixed. On another note, anyone knows a good alternative to the ratings script?

Login to Steam community --> Logout manually again right away --> Login again but first tick (remember me), it shouldn't log you out anymore.

I usually do this, and it never logs me out automatically afterward.
If that doesn't works for you, check this, it might, it might not work anymore, since valve changed stuff since then.

So part of my problem several months ago was that Steam ratings script mentioned upthread, but I've had it turned off since and started experiencing this problem again recently.

The second culprit I've discovered is being logged into Steam on two difference devices at once. So if I'm also logged in on my phone, for instance to do SMA for market stuff, my browser keeps getting auto-logged out of the store after a few clicks. This happened with Chrome, Firefox and MS Edge. Edit: and it doesn't matter if you have 'remember me' ticked on the login page.

Annoying as hell.

Steam Community logs me out whenever I try to post something (notifying me that the posting failed).

No problems with Chrome + Enhanced Steam + Tampermonkey. Maybe you have a program that is erasing your cookies in a schedule?

No issue with Chrome + Enhanced Steam or Firefox + Enhanced Steam.

Interestingly, I had both situations on the same computer.
When I use Chrome logged in to my google account, complete with sync theme extension and all other crap, visiting Steam site usually requires a log-in.
When I use Chrome as a different user (make a new Person 1 Chrome profile), steam stays logged on for days.

I've had this problem for months. Only using Enhanced Steam on Chrome. Although it's not as bad as in the past now. When I checked the games in a new bundle for example I would get logged out every third game or so.

same here, using Chrome + ES. it's been like this for a long time for me, gonna say that more than 9 or 10 months already, for sure. didn't used to be like it before. although sometimes it is a bug. it shows as logged out but after like 5 or 10 minutes, you're happily logged in

See my edit, it was the Steam Ratings script causing it.

yeah me too (using Firefox... everywhere). FWIW, I have noticed that GOG's site is very very awesome about not being a pain in my butt about login. Now if only they had more selection :-(

In my case I was using VPN and steam detected it.
As soon as I switched to "stealth"/transparent VPN server, the problem is gone.

Btw I use both Steam Inventory Helper and Enhanced Steam.
