Almost every time I open the Steam Store in a new browser tab I have to log in again, and use the mobile authenticator. My browser is left open 24/7, but not necessarily a tab with the store. Of course I check the box that says keep me logged in. I don't have this problem with Steamcommunity sites (marketplace, for example).

Do I have a browser setting messing with things somewhere, or Enhanced Steam, or other suggestions?

EDIT: It did turn out to be the Steam Ratings script. Disabled it the day I posted this thread and haven't been logged out since that I recall.

In my side, ES make it occurs more often.
I didn't use Inventory Helper anymore.

This problem usually happen on : http://store.steampowered.com/, https://help.steampowered.com/
But never happen on steamcommunity

Sometimes, refresh the store page 3 - 5 times work.
If use ES, try to clear the cache then refresh few more, wait until progress bar finished each time refresh

I've got the exact opposite but not as often and no authenticator (or key-email) i.e. it remembers my PC.
You wouldn't happen to have anonymous-private-wossname browsing on now, would you?
Also that browser-profile has Enh.Steam but the other that also logs out doesn't, so that's not the issue in my case.

Hmm. I am having no problem with this and I use both Enhanced Steam and Inventory Helper.
I usually have to log in once a week or so.

Chrome, and no.

I've tried it with Chrome and ES also but haven't run into this issue. You don't have your cookie settings set to "Block sites from setting any data" or "Block third-party cookies and site data" do you?

edit: ah looks like you found the solution.

did you try waiting a bit thou? i mentioned this on another thread but sometimes cookies are not instantly loaded. after like a moment or so just refresh the page and it works ( you get signed in ).
i use both inventory helper and enhanced steam, whenever i get randomly signed out i just wait and refresh, get signed back in automatically

This problem usually occurs during a sale. But it does randomly sometimes, not frequently. Whenever you see you are logged out, just refresh the page and you will see you are logged in again. Or clear your browser cache , relogin on steam and it should be fine.

This! Just refresh the page a few times, give it about 30 sec. and you should be logged back in.

Ah, looks like it could be the Steam Ratings script then, I'll try disabling that

It happens sometimes when the server is under heavy load. In that cases I just wait a while or refresh the page until i'm logged in again.
I only have to use the authentificator every few months when the cookies have expired.
I'm using Chrome and Enhanced Steam.

Mine goes back and forth. Sometimes the store logs me out multiple times a day; sometimes, the Community does. They don't seem to do it at the same time. It's been happening for ages.

Two possible causes have come to mind:

  1. I'm also logged in to one or both sites in other browsers: the Steam overlay browser, and Safari on iPad. It could be limiting concurrent sessions as a security measure, and just doing it poorly.
  2. I have third-party cookies disabled. I've considered that the different domains could cause issues maintianing the user session.

It happened when the sale started, but i haven't had the problem after that. I do use Enhanced Steam although it hadn't been working that well lately, most of the times it wouldn't load the data in the game store page, but the other functions were working, although I went and try now and it's loading fine now, let's see for how long.

Happens all the time, not just today. Already encountered this several times since last year. Most of the time reloading the store page will show as logged in, but some other times have to re-login.

No, not using Enhanced Steam in this browser.

Enhanced Steam + Inventory Helper @ FireFox = perma logout
Enhanced Steam + Inventory Helper @ Chrome = cant remember i ever have been logged out

no idea why maybe cache get cleared automatically to often because of max size on FF
while im not using chrome that much just using it because IH is buggy for me on FF

Yes only with chrome, even after a fresh win10 installation (tried before importing the old browser profile)

Has been happening to me as well, and I don't have any extensions for steam, so it's not just at your end and its not because of the extensions. I believe the server overload during peak times might cause this, though truthfully I have no idea why this is happening.
