Yes, I had that multiple times but recently to complete a set of 8 cards where I had one missing the booster pack dropped the one I needed.

I also had some bad times with boosters. Got 3 of the same card which I already owned before crafting 5 lvl badge.

I have had things like that happen, but never 3 of the same card at the same time. The worst I have had was 2 of the same one in a row. I hope you have better luck in the future.
