This is correct, except for the part where you are completely wrong.

I can't answer the poll since the best choice isn't there, Alive (2007).

RAM is the only Daft Punk album I own (although I know the usual singles from before), and it's one of my favourite albums overall. I only have to skip that one song which sounds like an UFO starting at the end...

I'm pretty sure he is talking about the last song Contact. I like this song, even with the high pitched squealing in my ears :)
Edit: I always thought of it as a sound of speeding up to the speed of light and entering some kind of warp drive or whatever it's called when you bend space and travel across the universe. I was never really into space shows or movies, so I probably got that all wrong, but you get the idea.

I just checked, it certainly is Contact. I really dislike the ending, especially since all the other songs calm me down in such a nice manner.

You should give them a try. They're a gay couple of robots who does some futuristic kinda funky music. Pretty good stuff.

Really? I'm 99% sure it would be their third live album, check out the pattern...

Homework will always have a special place in my heart, as will "Big City Nights" / Da Funk. Seeing that surreal music video late at night on MTV as a lonely teenager back in the day... it's a strong memory and has left a big impression on me throughout my life.
I also love the history behind the album, and the DIY way in which it was made and eventually rolled into a huge commercial success without sacrificing their artistic vision because of corporate financial decisions (excerpts from Homework Wikipedia Article:
The name Homework, Bangalter explained, relates to "the fact that we made the record at home, very cheaply, very quickly, and spontaneously, trying to do cool stuff."
Bangalter stated that "to be free, we had to be in control. To be in control, we had to finance what we were doing ourselves. The main idea was to be free." Daft Punk discussed their method with Spike Jonze, director of the "Da Funk" music video. He noted that "they were doing everything based on how they wanted to do it. As opposed to, 'oh we got signed to this record company, we gotta use their plan.' They wanted to make sure they never had to do anything that would make them feel bummed on making music."

I remembered this recently and was wondering what happened so I looked it up and it turned out to be fake.
Then I stumbled across this video which says Daft Punk, More Than Machine, 2017. It turns out that the song in the video is Maximum Love - Feel Electric, so this is probably not a real Daft Punk announcement either.
I think Maximum Love or someone who likes their music decided to make the video as a publicity stunt because they know everyone is hoping for an announcement from Daft Punk for 2017 and their music style is very similar.
I ended up looking up Maximum Love and I really like some of there songs, I'll post them here if anyone is interested:
Maximum Love - Feel Electric
Maximum Love - They Don't Love You Like I Do
Maximum Love - OBEY
Maximum Love - Dead By Dawn
Maximum Love - Twin Crimes
