This is how Grass Simulator made it onto Steam. I don't think we want another repeat of that.

Voted. Probably not the kind of vote you were hoping for, though :)

NO.

(also reported on Steam for breaking GreenLight rules)
First of all you're breaking Steam rules (attemting to buy votes)
Second of all you're breaking SG rules. You may use GA to promote somethng, but you may not require something in return from ppl so they would be able to join GA.
Third of all you only ever gave away free/almost free games on SG, and now suddenly expect us to believe you on face value that you will give us brand new AAA title, but only after we get your game through Greenlight? Then what will stop you from closing the topic and never fullfillling your promise?
Fourth of all - blacklisted ;p

on a sidenote - it's hillarious how much people are willing to whore themselves for a slightly chance of getting into GA that will probably never take place :D: I don't even mind ppl saying simple "voted" but comments like "I came here for the GTA V giveaway, but this actually looks really cool so I favourtied and followed and I'll be keeping an eye on this, thanks! "? :D: or saying how they "want this so badly"?
Sure they'd also believe how it is the ebst game ever if not for promise of getting into GTA V GA...

Well, AFAIK Valve never forbade giving keys in exchange of votes. They just "threatened" developers telling them that those promoted games would spend more time until greenlighted. Announcement
Of course, I don't trust in OP either. But they are different things.

at the same time Valve has been closing groups that were organizing such an "events" - so it does not seem like just a "guidance" but also as an enforced rule. For example Who's Gaming Now group got closed - http://steamcommunity.com/groups/whosgamingnow - and migrated to outer website.

But wgn group was closed May 1st 2014, and the Valve 'warning' is from February 9th 2015 :S
I didn't know about that, I was not into Steam around that date yet, I'm checking the old thread right now. It said that the 'official' reason was for running contests on the forum, not because their greenlight promotions. But of course, I don't know the history directly and maybe other groups closed for the same reason, with different 'official' reasons.

all WGN "contests" were "vote this game on greenlight, join group XYZ for verification and either "all ppl who voted get a key" or "10/100/1000 ppl who voted picked on random gets a key" ;)

You don't have to vote you can just join the group for the giveaway.
Need more members in that group or it isn't visible here in steamgifts as a group giveaway.

If we dont get enough people i will make a private giveaway and post the link in the group.

This has nothing to do with the number of members. Groups that were recently created take a bit of time to be included in the Steam API so they don't appear here during this period.

Ok, thanks for the info. Can still make it invite only and give the announce the link in the group.

You really believe that with all the comments you got the only problem here is whether you will make a GA or not? It's the smallest issue here! Serious issues are that
1) You're breaking Steam rules
2) You're breaking SG rules
yet you refuse to respond to any of these comments, keep ignoring them and keep bumping your thread? With every second your thread is open you only get more reports on steam that will just end in your so called "game" getting removed.

Sorry, you're game looks terrible. And I really can't stand developers who try to earn their Greenlight votes with "bribes".

you should focus people on your game, not gta5... giving away an aaa title won't help at all unless you just want to greenlight your game, then deal with extreme negative comments in steam discussion boards.
