So I know someone can't like every possible game they've gotten, which/what is your buyers remorse game(s)?

Not games but Humble Comedy Bundle. Most unfunny and uninteresting thing I've ever heard, and I even bought it BTA. I'm a moron.

I am glad I stayed away from that lol. Besides that.. if they really wanted to generate money.. they should have put stuff in it by George Carlin,Red Fox, Eddie Murphy, and Richard Pryor... oh man.. just thinking about it. All but one of them are dead now and the one left does not do standup anymore... :(

Yeah... judging by what small amount I've seen from stand-up from abroad, I must say it's pretty much dying. Might be wrong about it, but that's how I see it. I'm just glad that hungarian stand-up is still at its best. It killed good traditional radio and TV comedy here, but even that was a worthy sacrifice for it.

You are talking about Dead People doing Stand Up. What are you, some sort of Undead Zombie???

Oh, wait, you're... nevermind. :) :)

I got the standard just because I like some stand-up and I hadnt seen these people before. Watched Jim Norton and he was ok, but nothing special. Then a day later me & gf sat and tried, so so very hard, to watch Maria Bamford. She is literally the least funny person I have ever had the displeasure of listening to. It was actually painful.

Ultima IX: Ascension. That game was legendarily disappointing, and I paid the full $60 price tag for it.

Hands down Alien vs. Predator 2009, I use to play so much AvP2 it was made by Monolith the guys behind fear and the multiplayer was fantastic and the campaign had such replay value. Rebellion did an awful job on AvP 2009 the fact that you had to hold down a button to pick up new weapons was what threw it off, you'd get killed trying to do it! It was fun for the 29 hours I played it with a clan cause they were funny but it had terrible multiplayer waiting lobbies and connections... I will never play it again period.

Gothic 3.. Just bought it in special edition and day1 because my fav game is Gothic 2 and I was firstly disappointed because my pc can't run it. Then I bought a new pc just to discover how bad it is (was?) compared to the previous chapters!

Gothic 3 or Gothic 3 Forsaken Gods Enhanced Edition? Did a tiny bit of searching, they are apparently completely different games.

In order to enjoy Gothic 3 to any extent, you have to start by divorcing the previous two games from the third one in your mind. G3 is an entirely different type of game from G1 and G2. If you can manage to go into it with no expectations at all, you might enjoy it for the average game that it is.

^--- totally this

I was talking about the base game. As Khalag said, G3 is not a bad game, but definitely far away from the other 2. Also I played it vanilla / without the community patch, it was simply one of the buggiest and bad optimized game I've ever played.
Again, maybe is not so bad, but I was expecting far more from the sequel of Gothic 2, probably more of the same since I think it is a unique game with unique gameplay mechanics.

I honestly haven't played any of the Gothic games before, though I REALLY want to get them, I got Risen (The spiritual successor) last christmas and loved it.

If you like Risen, you surely will enjoy Gothic 3 (remember to get the community patch on) and maybe the first 2 games aswell (tho they are a bit weird in some gameplay mechanics, like combat, which I have loved much more than any other game, including Risen).

A.R.E.S
Was expecting some kind of Megaman clone but it was just and awkward attempt at that and the horrible controls make it almost impossible to play properly.

I can see why someone would hate all of those to be honest.

Origins: tried it, made me want to play NWN.

Battlefield 3: Meh game really.

GTAIV: What happened? GTA got boring all of a sudden, thanks Rockstar.

FO3: Glitchfest for some, not immersive enough unless you dedicate a day to modding.

Amnesia a machine for pigs, the story was better than TDD but you feel a lot more restricted, its a lot less scary and i completed in 3 hours so its a very short game :/

Flotilla. Demo got me interested, but I think I'd be better off just sticking to the demo because the devs decided to artificially make the full game barely any longer that that.

At first, Resident Evil Relevations was a big buyers remorse game for me, but given I couldn't return it, I was determined to give it "just one more hour". I'm like that, I can finish entire games while hating them on the simple idea of "I'll give it another chance to 'get better'". Surprisingly, despite the horrible dodge mechanic and having rolled back all the good stuff they uncovered in the modern Resident Evil games, it actually became kind of entertaining. If you go in expecting a recent RE game, you'll be sorely disappointed. If you go in expecting little (and don't mind the bullet-sponge style combat) then it's pretty good.

Superbrothers Swords & Sworcery EP is the biggest buyers remorse I've had. Pretentious, hollow garbage that practically begs you to use your twitter account to advertise itself under the guise of helping you somehow. Yet for some reason so many people seem to love this game? It's like a timewaster tacked on to a mediocre pack of mp3 downloadables.

The Movies was another big buyers remorse purchase for me. As was Borderlands 1. Also some real old stuff like Virus and Evolva.

Every game I bought and turned out I couldn't play it. Honestly, that's it. The slow realization comes to me that I've never truly hated a game.

Also, a lot of Mass Effect hate here.

I had a similarly bad experience with Fallout NV, and will probably never pre-order a Bethesda developed or published game again (unless they really change their ways). They simply release them in a state that is an insult to their customers.

Shadowrun Returns. Should have never preorder that game. The gameplay video was promising - steampunk crpg, but it feels all different when you actually play it. The game was meant for tablets.

Cart Life...

Worst purchase I've ever made on Steam. >_<

The game advertises itself that it's like the old "food stand" games such as Lemonade Tycoon, Hotdog Tycoon ect.

It's NOTHING like any of those games... It's more of a "pathetic life" simulator. :(

If you had watched the trailer before you bought it you'd know that it's in fact not "like the old "food stand" games such as Lemonade Tycoon, Hotdog Tycoon ect."
It doesn't market itself like that at all, and i don't know where you got that info from

Tony Hawk Ride. Technically I didn't buy it, since I got it as a Christmas gift, but there's so much remorse that it transcends payment. If it was what I paid for, it'd probably be Lux-Pain.

Final Fantasy XIII and Resident Evil 6... Although, not so much Resident Evil 6 as GameStop messed up on the billing and I got it for free somehow.

Might as well call Final Fantasy XIII Corridors & Cutscenes though. What gameplay there was, well, it wasn't worth playing. Complete and utter crap.
