Heavy Rain - Best story and defenitly one of the best gameplays with the hardest decisions to make.
Also, Fallout and TES series are great.

Hard to choose 1 game.. Dune 2 because it brought an all new genre and Return to Castle Wolfenstein because it revived my taste for the FPS genre, sad thing is no game really picked up where RTCW left, except for Enemy Territory which was it's follow-up, but nothing since then got this Class and Team-play system for competitive play.
