I know its a new generation and physical disks are kinda old and bla bla bla... But i actually love to have an actual physical game library with me rather than just a steam library. You know its very good to look at -_-

I would just love to have an entire wall filled with games boxes, like I do with books/manga, and yet it's too damn expensive here in brazil to buy games cause of taxes and shit, so I have to be content with a filled steam library wall D= (Well and must confess is easy to go and buy on steam when some promo is going XD)

Well I do like physical copies of games cause I do like to have the box and everything. Just as I prefer to buy music on vinyl! But when I built my latest pc I didn't bother to include a dvd/br-rom!

I love physical games but since PCs change so fast and so many indie games aren't even available in physical versions I just go digital when it comes to PC. However, when it comes to my Sega systems I have an entire bookshelf devoted to my physical copies. I much prefer physical.

Discs just take up shelf space since they activate on clients, but I like the old cartridges though

I enjoy collecting the collector editions of games, with all the tat that they include. I also have enough DVD cases to build a small wall atm.........

There is little free space in my room and enough dust to clean as it is without disks making those little issues worse... <.<

Plus there is the fact that physical copies are often damn expensive or at least I've hardly ever seen one go on 75% off or anything(the only exception being that one time Duke Nukem Forever was for 1 pound :D ). If I could afford to buy games at near full price all the time I probably wouldn't be here. :P

By now I don't really care for physical or digital. I only miss the printed manuals of some games when I buy digital copies.

Also worth to mention that these days prices of both physical & digital are equal. IMO if a publisher distributes both digital and physical, they should give some discount (or extras) on the digital copy, because that one has lest costs to sell...

I actually miss the cool stuff you got along with the disk. Not the manual, but other goodies. Like my Loom game came with an audio drama that gave backstory. And Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade came with a grail diary. Sad that you don't get that anymore, unless you buy some overpriced "Collector's Edition" version.

Same here, there is just something neat about having your gamecollection on the shelf.

I may be in the minority, but I want nothing physical anymore. I buy all games, movies, TV Shows, music, comics, and books in digital format if possible. I seriously just want everything at my fingertips all the time and nothing sitting around my apartment.

I used to until a few years back when I moved form the condo into the house. Moving heavy boxes of games, books, DVD's, CD's etc and all the clutter it takes up. I have switched to digital on everything now. I won't even buy movies in DVD format anymore. Amazon, GMG, Apple and steam for the win. The older you get the more you appreciate less clutter.

It's nice having a physical collection of games until the time comes when you actually want to play them and have to find the box, take the old disc out of the machine, put the new disc into the machine, wait for it to start up, oh look I'm already asleep zzzZZZZzzzZZZ

Well, most of my games are digital. I have a couple of retail games, but I don't look at them a lot. :D I actually buy games for the game, not for the disc or the box or whatever... So I prefer digital copies.
