Game you played with the best storyline?

When I first started playing To The Moon, I really didnt care for it. By the end though I was recommending it. This game is a great example of how a storyline can make or break a game.

I'm gonna go ahead and go old school. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Majora's mask. Both of those games make me cry every time I play them... Especially Majora, the whole game is facing all the stages of death. Deku's boiling the sweet little monkey to death, that's cruel...

I get what you are going for but you aren't talking about the story at all. You kind of go for the gameplay.

ME1 you kind of forget that the plot was more about you trying to topple a 007 superagent while fighting a sentient robot race who overpowered their old masters. I don't remember any other game that had a similar plot.
ME2 you enlist in the service of an extremist organisation and going all A-team on an uncertain foe trying to figure out their motives. Kind of a space heist plotline of assembling a team and going on a ...suicide mission, as it was called.
Even in ME3 there were really no "ALIEN GODZ!" The idea of some semi machine race using life as a harvesting field for new DNA or "food" was quite novel.

Obviously in an action PC game you kill and go on missions. :/ ... Kind of a standard thing don't you think?

ME2 is a series of sidequests with an abrupt finale. There is no story. ME3 is a huge blunder outside any credibility. So there's only Mass Effect 1 left.

I hated Mafia 2's ending, but i liked the way they developed the storyline... He was losing every single friend because of the mafia, and he even lost his family so... even if the ending was sad, it was a good ending from that point of view.
