yesterday i did that random switch thing and i ended up in team hare , so glad i could help boosting it a little bit :3 unlike my friend who ended up in team pig after being in corgi xD

some of us had the option to randomly switch teams from one of the winning teams to one of the losing teams and get 1000 points as a reward and i took the gamble :p

think it had something to do with the spendings since i had already spent like 100$ the day before they gave us the switch team option and they announced it in the steam notification lol i'm surprised many did not know about it Xd

I spent just around 50 on Monday but not that much before so maybe that's why.
They really should have just randomized the teams, making sure the "big spenders" (historically) were spread around. Now they don't know how to fix their event because really, it's all the same to them if Team Corgi wins but if they always win, that's not pushing other teams to spend, which was their (rather silly?) hope by making this a competitive event.

Steam looks to be doing some updates. Check your profile - you'll also be level 0, your background will have disappeared along with all your profile showcases. It appears to have blanked out Grand Prix progress for the moment. Just give it an hour or so and everything will be back to normal again.
This happens pretty regularly. It freaked me out the first time I logged in and saw my profile had dropped to level 0. But I seem to notice it happening every month or two, so it seems to be a fairly regular thing.

It's already know since some days. Some people did some research in the source code and saw that Valve plays with the results by changing the multiplier of each Team.

Yes, within 48h of the announcement (so it's passed already). I went for it, and you can find several others in Grand Prix topics who did aswell.

Supposedly there was a random chance to get a team swap when you boosted, similar to the random chance for steal progress / slow opponent charges. I've yet to see one drop, though I do know a few people who got them and switched teams.
