Sg account and steam account are not tied to each other. You remain login on sg even you logged out on steam.

How is that? Why can't you acces your email? Without that it will be quite difficult to regain your account.

It's beginning to sound like someone hacked his mail as well as his Steam. They might've closed the email account down after changing the details on Steam.

Its not easy to close email accounts like gmail, yahoo, outlook...
It takes time. Either OP used some other less secure service or this hack happened sometime back...

Maybe they hacked the email if the passwords were similar, from there it wouldn't be hard to screw with it... although I dunno about completely deleting it...

Well on the face of it, it sounds like someone has stolen your account.

Contact Steam support. If you can provide details of any of the keys you've activated on the account, partciculalrly if you've ever bought a boxed copy of a gme and can show the a picture of the key on the documentation etc. then you could get your account back.

i tried the code thing but they send an e-mail to aprove it and stuff

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

So contact Steam, tell them you tried that and you didn't get the email because you think someone has stolen the account and changed the address associated with it. They might be able to help you out still if you can tell keys etc. Might not even require that if they notice a sudden change of IP, I assume they keep a record of where people are logging in from.

Can you create a steam support account (different to your actual Steam account) and use a different email address? (If your account was stolen, they might have access to your email too, so you might want to use a different address)

A steam support account is seperate to your steam account. If you don't already have a steam support account then now is the time to make one.

61 minutes also mean 1 hour. Because :fucklogic:

Permalink

Yes, but i doesn't show in minutes then. It only shows Hour.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It's simple enough when you know how time stamps actually work. They will show "x second(s) ago" and "x minute(s) ago" as long as x<=60, and "y hour(s) ago" if y<=24. One single second more than that, and it will be pushed onto the next level.

I.E.: 60 seconds = 60 seconds, 61 seconds = 1 minute, 59 minutes 1 second = 59 minutes, 60 minutes 1 second = 1 hour, 23 hours 59 minutes 1 seconds = 23 hours, 24 hours 1 second = 1 day.

Though it may also be easier for them to read it like that either way,my point was are we not passed this High School stuff of making fun of people because of how they type?

I just find it funny how people point out things like that or poke fun like they are above it,like some how everything they do is not weird or different to anyone else.

Well, it isnt our job to decide how someone should type, but if they want to be taken seriously/not have someone complain, then they should type like an adult and use proper capitalization at the VERY least.

They will get back to you. Relax.
Just get all the info and proof ready from your end and when support does reply back, explain as clearly as possible in the same message. Don't wait for them to ask clarification.

Some proof methods:

  1. Steam keys you have recently activated. You can find this in you email/ Store accounts (if purchased), on the giveaways won pages of SG or Scomp or Gameminer or etc etc...
  2. Any steam wallet transaction proof etc.

Just wondering, is your email password strong enough?

I mean if they have your email, they probably hacked you long back. This was just the final cue when they took over your account. Do you remember clicking any fishy links?

If you do remember, tell support about it.

When you do finally contact them, you might want to tell them the ID: 32 and 64 numbers of the account you are trying to recover. If you just tell them your username it might have changed by then.

I suppose you had steam guard activated?

That means, that your emai was hacked, not your steam account. With having full access to the mail account, it's rather easy to circumvent the security measurements. Password changed, mail changed, mail accounted deleted.

What you could try, is contact the support, ask for the mail that is tied to your account now. It's quite problematic, considering that your mail account is gone. So you can't verify, that the payments you might have done with the mail in the past, was yours.

Maybe all of us could flag/report his account, too.

Also, did you use open networks (or others apart from your own) in the past and logged in with your steam account? Could have been a MIM (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man-in-the-middle_attack). Or maybe phishing, though I assume that everyone knows to not enter links from strangers.
