So I was playing the beta and tried to hack with cheat engine (yep, it even works with cheat engine) and it's so easy to hack (speedhacking, unlimited ammo, no reloading etc)

The game looks so cool but I'm not sure if Dark Zone gets boring after a time.

What do you think? Your opinions are important for me.

Don't do it, in particularly not with Ubisoft games. Wait until the game is out and a few patches has been applied. If you do, you can probably pick it up for a bit less on top of not having had to deal with some of the issues the game had at launch.

So, do you want to cancel it, because it's easy to cheat?

In general, I don't preorder things. Especially if they are from Ubisoft. Also, I saw what you did there with the pizza ;). You can't delete the witnesses ^^

In a multiplayer game it's kinda important.

Yeah, I know. I guess my question can be easily missunderstood ^^. I have bad experience with Ubisoft handling online games too =)

Yes because it's really easy to cheat. They said they are aware of the hacking issues in closed beta but still nothing changed. I don't think they will fix it in 16 days.

But I'm still undecided :/

They launched the anti-cheat but not issuing bans so people don't know they will get the hammer shortly after release because then they don't have to refund due to breaking EULA.

Are you sure? How do you know it?

Quite a few companies have done it recently (Dirty Bomb, Devillian, Verdun ect) and since the anti-cheat is up but no bans for it is the same strategy to keep pre-orders up to make money, because if you got banned before release you could cancel your pre-order. Cheap move but what hackers/cheaters deserve.

they should do that with all steam games... have it not ban cheaters for the first 2 hours after purchase... or maybe just void refunds if the person got a VAC ban during the refund period.

That would be awesome and hilarious

That second option would be fantastic and I would laugh at all the folks who would learn that the hard way. xD

You could cancel the pre-order, then wait for reviews and buy it if you think it could be good.

Lol wtf.

I pre-ordered the same stuff for 40€.
Anyway, you have to decide that for yourself. Every game has cheaters that's just how it is.

The reason I bought from steam is it's cheaper in Turkey 60€.

Also I don't know if beta playing time affects the refund. Can you tell me if you know?

you can request refund no matter how long you played if it's not released yet. Preorders don't have 2h limit.

It's a preorder. so yes. And for that game, definitely too.

I wouldn't base your decision off of this forum. Most people here seem to hate Ubisoft and will tell you to cancel simply based off of that. I personally do not pre-order games unless I am sure I will like them, or able to get them at a discount. I pre-ordered The Division because I really enjoyed my time in the beta, but mostly for the single player bit (I don't play much MP with my crappy internet) although I had fun in the Dark Zone as well.

It would suck if it was full of cheaters, and if that is the case I might cancel my pre-order if I was in it mainly for the MP. There are cheaters in every game though, I think you could maybe enjoy the SP while they work on the cheating problem, or you could cancel the pre-order and wait to see the reviews and/if they do anything about the cheating.

I disagree strongly. You don't give them money first, and trust them to do something if and when they like to. They fix their game first, and at that point you give them your money.

yeah, that makes sense :) I guess it just doesn't bother me as much since most games I buy is for single player content

edit:
although if what Gradet said is true, then it might not be a problem afterall

Biased opinion here. This game is the first i've preordered since many years. I just fallen in love with it.
I haven't yet to encounter cheater in DZ, but i think the solo content may be strong enough for quite a moment to play without interfering in the DZ. But i don't play for the multi, but trully for the Solo part mainly.
So ask just yourself if you will have enough with the solo, or you will need/want to do mainly MP.

Ive played the Beta and think it is pretty good. Not as good as i expected after waiting a long time for it, but still it is good. Since it is ubisoft i would wait a few weeks, and than check the revieuws to see if it is worth it, but it still is your own money.

I usually only pre-order games that I'm certain I'm going to like, and usually they end up being single player so if there are some bugs I can always just wait and play some other stuff while they're being fixed. Worst pre-order I've done yet was Titanfall and I don't even regret that because it was super fun getting friends together and playing right away.

Hi, Random! Fancy seeing you here! :D
I agree with you. Almost all pre-orders I've done are single-player (excepting Black Desert Online). I'm thinking I might get The Division myself, though. It played very well in Beta ... and a few friends on my Steam got it—what about you, though? What do you think of The Division, by the way?

I liked The Division Beta (I played both the closed and open beta) but I won't pre-order a Ubisoft game given their bad track record in the last few years, they released too many unfinished games to be considered a reliable outfit.

Well after beta i would buy it in preored myself, awesome game, nothing new to the genre but gameplay just steals the show. Unfortunately beta also shown me that at first before buying i gotta upgrade my pc a bit... huh pc mustard race :)
