Glad to hear that you have made the best out of a difficult situation. In my experience (of which, by now, I have a lot, old geezer that I am), these situations will always show the true character of people. If you could take anything away from it, it was a valuable experience for you and those around you.
I was very easily angered as a young man and it got me into some trouble every now and then. But, more importantly, it hurt people around me. Of course those who love me, but sometimes also those who were innocent bystanders.
I worked on that a lot over the decades and while there are some things about you that you will never be able to change, there are a lot that you can. It can take quite some time to realise what you can (and want to) change, but if you have a reason to, it will go so much quicker.
By now I have chosen to leave the world around me a better place each day, even if it is sometimes just with the tiniest gestures and words like taking the time to talk to beggars, making sure to be polite and friendly to strangers, helping others when I see they need help. It makes my life much better, simply because I can now live with myself without being angry. Angry at me, angry at everyone else.
You had quite the struggle, from what I could read in your other threads, and although I don't know you, I just wanted to let you know that I am very happy for you. Life can take turns for the worse if we allow it to. You already managed to achieve something in your life. Something that so many people sadly never do. You had a self-realisation and no one can take this awareness away from you now.
When so many people just blame the world and everyone around them for everything, you took matters into your own hands. Be proud and never lose that attitude. With it comes a sense of achievement for everything you will do in your life.
I hope, life holds a lot of good fortune for you and that you can focus on those positive moments whenever things do not turn out the way you were hoping. Appreciate the good and fight through the bad. :)

It's been almost a year and now I'm finally back home. I don't know how many of you remember my reason for leaving, or remember me at all, but yeah I am back.
Anyway, things didn't improve much back home, but they're not worse either. However the direction of my life has changed positively during this time. I managed to save up enough money for a drivers license, and if I don't fail and have to repeat I'll have enough for a cheap used car as well. That alone is a big thing, because once I get a car finding a new job will get a lot easier, not to mention I'll have a lot more freedom.
I changed as a person too, I'm not as bitter anymore which made me a lot more tolerant than I was before and I don't get annoyed by some things anymore either. I am more confident in myself as a result of everything I did back there. I lost some weight (around 15 kg) and I wasn't even on a diet nor was I exercising, work and walks through forest did the trick. I'll start exercising now that I'm back home so hopefully I'll keep losing weight and get myself in a good shape.
Not quite sure what I'll do next with myself, but after so many years of standstill this was a nice leap forward. I'll probably just chill now for a week or two, playing games and watching anime. Then I'll go for getting a drivers license, buying a car and then I'll start looking for a new job.
Anyway enough of my wall-of-text building, check out the train and see if there's anything of interest there for you (they're all bundle games since I missed the steam sale). Also if possible, I'd like to get on better terms with those of you whom I had quarrel with so let me know if you want to bury the hatchet.
Gibs!
