Try it! It's a free game!
Also, it reminded me.
I'll include the link to the game, for those who would like to try it themselves :)

I have it on Steam but haven't played it yet. Could be fun to try it with SG.

It IS possible to do it. I have an idea on what I might do to do this.
I could host the game with 14 other contestants, and see how all of them fare.
Once the game is over, I take a screenshot of the winners, and I send it to IMGUR, from there, I post the results of game #X to the main thread! :)
It might probably take 2-3 games to fill up the slots.

Ooh, this sounds interesting. I think I've heard of a similar game, Avalon. I've never played it myself, but it seems fun! :D

Hehe, I think the game is less complicated than Avalon.
Those table-top games confuses me to no end, haha! xP

Town of Salem has scummy, promise-breaking, sleezy, inept, disagreeable.. ahem, anyway, all-around unfavorable developers. :X
Likewise, due to the neglect of the developers, the userbase devolved into nothing but exploiters, cheaters, bigots, and trolls- a circumstance which only worsened over time.
(Mind, I played from (closed? I recall I needed an invite to sign up at the time) beta up through Forgers, so I spent a notable amount of time with it. Haven't played in recent months, but at the time I left, they'd managed to make it so advertisements were popping on nearly every page you loaded, which only further aggravated the trashy feel of the game's environment.)
That all said, last I played, the game was still loads of fun to play- so if you can get a closed group for it, that'd definitely be an awesome approach.
Speaking from experience, getting the timing scheduled for that kind of thing is.. near impossible.
So your best bet is to do a sort of 'whoever shows at this time can enter, and we'll play matches until X circumstance'.
IE, don't try and pre-lock your participants, because then you'll often be left with only like 3 people that actually show :P
(P.S. Keep in mind that overall game balance in Salem can be tricky, so you'll probably need a rather complex setup to make it work for 'kill the competition'.)

Woah! Never knew about the developers being like that!
But the game is still good as long as nobody ruins it for those who like it!
The event is obviously in a closed group (You can group at least 15 people in!)
I might probably need 30 peeps or something to make the group work at a certain time of the day...
I still have a couple of days to think about it, though.

Will do! But it will take a while, since I need to make preparations to do it! :)
Thank you for your interest! :)

Ummm, I could try, but I don't know the game well, nor I know that the game follows the same rules and stuff, will check on it myself!
Thank you! :)

it's pretty much the same game at its core level, but with a slightly different evolution, so the roles are a bit different.
It also doesn't have a graphic user interface, it's all text based or, more precisely, the graphic ui is horrible and you should stick with the text version
From having played both, epicmafia is, in my opinion, much better

In order to keep a fair balance of the game, I'd rather go for the Ranked approach.
I can try to host a Custom match with Ranked rules, so everybody has a chance of winning, depending on luck and skill! :)

Don't worry, those who win, should leave for others to join in.
I'll take a screenshot of the winning screen to ensure I get the accounts that entered, to post them in the winner's section.

Pretty nice game, I heard it turned into something awful since I left though. I'd be willing to go for it, sounds fun.

I just heard about you and other user, which saddens me, since the game is pretty nice.
Another user gave me another suggestion, but I kind of like the animations from Town of Salem... It kind of grew onto me, haha!

why not using vote, although i'm in for using this game

Vote? How? I think I already gotten votes for games in my last thread, hehe!

Ah! I see! Hmmm... I should have done that...
Sigh, but now I don't know if I should do such thread, I'd be spamming all over the place if I do, hehe.
Probably next time :)

Well now a puzzle sounds good lol. I have no interest in playing games like Town of Salem and even if I decided to go for it (since I am interested in the games you'll be giving away, especially if Enter The Gungeon is going to end up being one of them) I would probably miss the event.

Oh, well... I wanted to do something different, and this idea struck my mind.
You can easily win if you are lucky enough to join the winning team, so you might require, like... Hmmm... 10 minutes or more, instead of an hour or so to complete an entire puzzle!
You can even try the game, it's a blast when you are experienced enough! :D

Mmmh I'm not sure, you know?
What would prevent people from cheating through Skype?
Also, a Town of Salem match can quickly become an infuriating experience if people don't know what to do. I'm afraid it would bring hostility instead of good natured fun.
Have you ever been executed by a Jailor that was too stupid to read the role list? Or lynched by a town full of dumb cretins unable to pay attentions to wills and deathnotes?
It's not the kind of game that bring people together... It the kind of game that make people hostile toward each other...
My 2 cents ^‿^'

Who said dead people has to be angry? :P
Besides, people willing to participate has to use a name unrelated to them, so no one knows who's who!
Also, it would be obvious if people Skypes if they get info out of nowhere.
I can keep an eye onto that myself.
Thank you for being worried about that, probably I might need a couple of guys to test stuff around...

Remember it's a game! Don't get mad with the participants if they kill you! :D

Hehe, it's all fine! We should be playing with honor and with respect, unless we can do some banter around, to make stuff fun! ;)

So, last time, I talked about you guys, picking 3 games from here for a puzzle...
https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/pUtj5/yay-reached-level-4-yesterday-help-me-choose-games-for-puzzlepossibly-final-results
But then... something struck my mind...
It came when I was looking at that Hunger Game event that IgotElbows is currently doing as of now.
What if, instead of the puzzle, I make a Town of Salem tournament event? You can literally KILL the competition that way!
I might need ideas on how to plan an event like this...
I was thinking on making private giveaways, and for those who win the Town of Salem game (I'm planning on ending the event for each game when I have at least 10 survivors, if there are surplus survivors, they enter as well), they can get a link with the giveaway.
I was discussing this with several friends of mine here, some were thinking it was an awesome idea, and I feel excited to make something fun like this, instead of making you all angry with a puzzle.
So, what do you think about this? Any ideas that you can give me, if you have played the game?
Many thanks for reading! :)
Oh! For those interested in knowing what I'm talking about, this is where the game is! (It's free! And it's on Steam for 14.99$!)
