I'd assume logically it must be based on which group the winner is part of. If the winner shares two groups the giveaway was created for, I'm guessing it must count towards both of them equally. Since it's just a stat for fun and doesn't have any function, it doesn't need to be accurate.
I'm just guessing, though, it seems like the logical way it would work but I've never looked into this stat.

It's shared between the groups.
Example: 20$ value game shared with 4 groups = you get 5$ "CV" in each group. It doesn't matter where the winner comes from. Whitelist doesn't count as a group. Giveaway shared with a group and with your whitelist = full game value goes to the group stat.

I wanted to mention that you also need at least 5 entries in a group GA to get CV, public GAs you only need 1 entry.

Every group has a leaderboard of the member's contribution:
Lets say I create a giveaway open to two groups.
Will I get group cv in both or only in the one the winner is member of?
What if he is member of both ?
What if the Giveaway was open to my WL too, and one of them wins?
