Anyone calling beneath a steel sky a crappy game, I personally take offense with.
Many bad things are grounded in ignorance. You owe it to humankind to try that game and do away with your silly prejudices.

GOG has a lot of old games that is awesome i own like 31 games there they are cheap and they made ALL the old DOS/Win95/Win98 work with Win7 that is worth the 5-10 USD a game costs ^_^

I lol'd.
Because you couldn't have been serious.
If you limit yourself to games only on Steam then you're deliberately missing out on some great games, not just on GOG, but ones on Desura, GamersGate, developers' own sites etc. To limit yourself to steam is like saying "I'll only watch films on netflix!!".

Well, that actually is something GOG has been doing for a long while already. The fact that, if you sign up and pay even as low as 0.01 cent you would also get 8 Interplay games in their PWYW sale, is much more interesting in my opinion. It's like you get 17 games for "almost" free. Of course, if you pay more (and I think GOG deserves your money) you could get many more Interplay hits that they are currently selling quite cheap as well.

I've never bought anything on GoG yet over the time I got some free games off them (Fallout 1, and more).

Most of those are games that can be acquired free & legally on other sites as well (though the GOG team has configured dosbox or ScummVM for you), but the Worlds of Ultima games are GOG exclusive in this regard.
Beneath a Steel sky & Tyrian 2000 are highly recommended. Treasure adventure game is quite nice as well. The others are a bit more niche.

And now you can have this free game in your GOG library for free ;)

I think Beneath A Steel Sky is free on GOG as well... if not then google search for SCUMMVM :-)
EDIT:
It says in the description that Beneath A Steel Sky is free on GOG... Sorry about that :-S

the gog versions are nicely compiled plus they are working on newer systems with w7/mac (without the need to install additional software) for example plus support from gog if you encounter any problems plus the goodis (artbooks, comics, wallpapers) plus etc :)

GoG is a wonderful site. They often give you free games. I got Empire Earth and Fallout for Free some months ago
