Weird. It seems to me that every day is pretty much Men's day based on the way the world operates. Who knew we needed a reminder? I'm CIS white male and had no idea.

pretty much in a way that, without them, you wouldn't even be able to ask this here.

In the CIS, men have fewer rights than women. You owe everyone, but no one owes you anything. Women are NEVER given life sentences, any sentences are commuted, they are forgiven and replaced with suspended sentences for crimes for which no one will ever forgive men. During a divorce, a man will NEVER receive the right to raise his children, an honest share of his property, or the opportunity to meet with his children on his terms.
Conscript slavery. Any man under 60 years of age, even if he has never been drafted into the army for health reasons, can at any time be convoy by the police to the military structures , to be forced to send to war “to die with a smile on face” - Paver Grachev, Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation 1992 - 1996. It’s exactly the same in any CIS country: Belarus, Kavkaz countries, Central Asia *Stans.

CIS male doesn't pertain to the CiS region. Separate things lol.
However: If you had actual equality, where women had actual equal societal standing (which they don't), you'd find the status quo in said situations would change. Currently, men are sometimes victims of their superior standing in those societies. But we all know "victim" is a loose term since you're by and large the beneficiaries of legislated patriarchies and are as such expected to take greater responsibility in said societies as a result. If anything, you should be actively seeking both a change away from autocracy, oligarchy, despotism and dictatorship while also seeking gender equality so as to ease the burden your society places upon you (although there are of course many many other reasons to do so).

Equality? Since it is women who have suprematism in post-Soviet countries. A million privileges, rights, ZERO responsibility. The mother burned her baby in an oven, drowned her in a village toilet - received a 2-year suspended sentence, the man sat down next to the girl, was accused of allegedly trying to seduce her, allegedly saying something to her - went to a penal colony for 10 years. 90% of judges are women, acquittals in criminal cases are less than 0.2%.
A real story that began in 1997, one woomo-scum wrote a rape complaint against a guy, the woman wanted it, the guy went to prison for 10 years (they found traces on her clothes, he was dating her). The man served his time, came out, found this scum through his mother, and when he met her at the entrance, he stabbed her in the stomach four times with a knife, not listening to her babble about her young stupidity, about her children, and requests for forgiveness. He calmly waited for the police near the fresh corpse and went to the jail for murder, where he rushed at the sentry and was killed. He had no reason to live, he survived in the prison for the sake of revenge, and having fulfilled it, he left, not by suicide, for it was a sin, but by a bullet.
Your TikTok fantasies about oppressed women in post-Soviet countries have nothing to do with reality. You either haven’t lived in the CIS for a long time, or you’ve never lived.

You just told a story about a dude who raped a woman, served jail time, got out, and then killed the woman he raped after which he was shot by police, and that is somehow a story about some poor dude. You're actually disgusting.
And CIS male is somebody born male who identifies as his birth gender. #themoreyouknow, scumbag. Do us all a favor and don't rape anybody.

Didn't rape. He was her boyfriend. But she wanted to get rid of him and she found such a way. No one checks either the fact of what happened, or the “victim” using a lie detector, or in any other way.
If you have noodles instead of a brain and you can’t read text, then don't clutter the topic.
"CIS male is somebody born male who identifies as his birth gender"
Everything is clear. Alphabet troll-activist. Discussions are useless.

I see you're terrified of letters. Unsurprising. Your type are scared of everything.
And no. You were rape shaming a woman while approving of the rape, terrorism, and murder of said rape victim. Which, as mentioned, makes you disgusting and worthy of, at best, scorn and contempt. I imagine it was really an at least partially autobiographical story, which is probably why you fled to Honduras, eh? Either that, or even the core premise of you being Russian was a lie used to tell your disgusting pro rape fable. Which means you're trying to paint Russians under a terrible rapist light.

Not a single person in my life mentioned it so thank you. I was actually kind of bummed about that. October usually always is a horrible month for me, and sadly this year the issue that popped up in October carried into November. So it's been... not great. So much appreciated. Any supportive words at all is huge for guys right now.

Happy International Men's Health Day.
Here's some reasons why this day is important.

And one more reason: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/raymond-johnson-breast-cancer-man_n_921016
Although this actually ended well, I believe: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/raymond-johnson-breast-cancer-coverage_n_933999 (but not without what I assume were 2 incredibly stressful weeks)

That's not something we hear about every day.
The two links didn't work for me unfortunately (no idea why) so I just googled this cancer survivor. Here are the top results (no paywall for me at least):
Raymond Johnson
Man With Breast Cancer Denied Medicaid Coverage Because He's Not a Woman
After uproar, man with breast cancer OK’d for coverage (I needed to pause AdBlock here once to get to the news piece)

It is ironic that we live in a time when more people die by suicide than by war.😢
The total number of casualties from conflicts and wars over the 20-year period from 2003 to 2023 is estimated to be approximately 1 to 2 million.
Suicides - Our World in Data
Male-to-female ratio of suicide rate - Our World in Data
The importance of these events is felt by looking at the statistical numbers.
Thanks for reminding me💟

I like men and I feel kinda bad for them these days. So many seem to end up living alone in hotel rooms, paying support and seeing their kids maybe a couple of times a month. Hardly the life they thought they would have. 60-70 years ago, it was women who had a terrible time - have a child out of wedlock and their lives were ruined entirely, backstreet abortions etc. Seems the pendulum has swung the other way. It's a shame we can't find some middle ground where everyone could be a little happier.

Didn't know this was a thing, couldn't agree more that it's important to pay some attention to men's mental health since it tends to be all sorts of messy and often the society just tells us to shut up and endure it, although thankfully it isn't as common nowadays as it was a couple of decades ago.
Bump for the good cause, and thanks for the train! :)

As you might know the international men's day is on the 19th of November (sorry for being late with this thread, I had my hands full) and is meant to bring up positive male role models and bring a spotlight to issues that to a larger degree affects men, like poor mental health. This year an extra focus was put on the high suicide rate among men and to put a spotlight on how the mental healthcare system and society at large often fails to bring help to those in need before it's too late.
Here's a small train to celebrate this important day
And here is a really cute gift from Foxpile to celebrate the day
