Are you going to gym?
I tried going to the gym several times, but I always give up after a while. Not because it's hard, but because it's boring. I've realized that I can't get myself to do exercises/sports which don't include a ball. So I play basketball instead. :)

Going to gym 3-4 times every week for last 4 years, mostly to stay "in shape", but still i would like to lose another 4-5 kg. 189/87 atm.
Losing and gaining weight is mostly about correct/incorrect food. Once I jumped from 85 to 95 kg in 1 month when i started eating popcorn in the evenings several times per week.

My problem is not being fat or in shape. I realized that if you don't exercice, you get weaker and weaker, not stronger with the passing of time, even if you're in your twenties like me, and have less energy everyday. I'll be sleeping more than 8 hours per day and still feeling extremely tired when I wake up. I'm perplexed as to why. Why do I need to micromanage my body? Why can't it micromanage itself when I feed him stuff the entire day and let me do other stuff ??

It's often just lack of nutrients of vitamins, not lack of exercise. Could also be stress. Personally I have the kids to blame for me being tired, so don't need other excuses (but I do know from my experience and my wife's that lack of vitamins or iron can make you feel tired).

So how do I go about knowing what nutrients and vitamins I am missing? What is the stuff that most people don't know about? I thought my diet was okay. I don't eat many fast foods (mostly home food), I eat a lot of fruits, I drink a lot during the day, I don't drink any intoxicants (and I don't smoke). The only things I noticed that I do differently from people around me is that I don't drink coffee at all, I don't exercice, and I stay in front of my laptop most of the day...

Well, only sure way to know is a blood test. People who stay indoors all day are in risk of vitamin D deficiency, but far as I understand young people who go out into the sun a bit get enough of it. But sometimes the body just doesn't absorb well all kinds of stuff, it's hard to tell. I'm not a doctor and don't even play one on TV, so I can't really help. You seem to have a real problem so perhaps you should go get checked up.
Of course it may be that getting some exercise is exactly what you're missing.
Edit: Maybe the easiest way to check if it's nutrition would be to take a multivitamin/mineral supplement and seeing if you start feeling better after a few days.

No, too much anxiety and brain filled with the stereotype that all muscled guys are complete douchebags, directly from personal experience.

Not sure if cardio (bike) will help you with gains, you need to concentrate on eating lots of Protein and gradually lifting more weight (either 10 reps of 30 lbs or 5 reps of 60 lbs... the point is to lift more).
I'm no expert, but I've read a bit on the subject, perhaps I'm wrong but in any case talk with someone better qualified for it (nutritionist or gym trainer most likely). Oh! And alternate muscles, they need 24h of rest to actually grow, but I'm sure your gym trainer already did that (like 3 days of core and upper body and 2 days of lower body perhaps).

Today I started going to gym. I've been always slim all my life no matter how much I eat but this didn't bother me most of the time. I was happy with my body. I used to swim every summer non-stop for three months whole day, play volleyball, run, ride a bike until I got into college in another city. I stopped doing most of these since, yet sadly I ended up being more thin. Couple years ago I had a surgery for one of my lungs, some family issues, then graduation and unemployment, along with a 'little' depression... all affected my overall health badly. Last time I checked (after surgery) I was 55 kg, today I learned that I reached a new low, just 50 kg, phew!
And my God I feel so weak, today I was in gym (for the first time) for just 90 minutes and I was tired as hell. I wasn't able to lift my arm above my head even after couple hours. I only worked with the lightest weights. The instructor gave me a meal plan for gaining weight. I don't know whether it will actually help but I really want, seriously I need to gain at least 15 kg. I will start riding bike again on the days that I am not in the gym and eat more!
Have you ever been in a similar situation, had problems with your weight etc., maybe you can share some tips. Enjoy one little present as well while thinking.
