Terraria vs. Starbound

Terraria > starbound

Haven't played Starbound, but Terraria is simple yet awesome and addictive :P

They're from a lot of the same people :\

Starbound's more appealing, but I'm not too keen on having to start out with a sword and some matter manipulator thingy that takes long to get resources that an axe is still the better option. I'll probably buy in once I start seeing vids with ship customization and mech mounts.

Starbound is OVER 9000!!!

one is in beta so it isn't fair to pick one.

Terraria is a finished product with two large post-release content patches.
Starbound is a newly released beta.

Terraria is fantasy/free-adventure themed.
Starbound is sci-fi/exploration themed.

They're not quite comparable despite their similarities (yet). Though I would ask why is this "Terraria vs Starbound" and not "The Superfantastic Adventures of Terraria and her sidekick Starboundboy!" They don't really need to compete. They could have loving allied smoochy-faces across the room from one another, holding up a delicious side-scrolling version of the popular blockbuilder genre.

love terraria but haven't tried starbound.
I think I would enjoy it though.
I wish they did the beta thing like Edge of Space though... :Z

They are both fun games but it would not be fair to choose atm since Starbound is in beta.

Starbound expands on the idea of Terraria. Starbound right now is my favorite of the 2 by far.
