Best Steam games with female protagonists?

There is a lot of games in which you can choose the gender of your character, dunno if that counts for what you're asking. Some of them are:

• Dragon Age I, II, III.
• Kingdom of Amalur
• Pokemon saga
• Digimon saga
• Monster Hunter saga
• Fate/ Extra (And Fate/Extra CCC)

If we are talking of a fixed character, then some that are missing (Don't know why nobody named them) would be:

• Perfect Dark
• Parasite Eve
• Clock Tower
• Project Zero (Fatal Frame)
• Urban Chaos
• Resident Evil 1, 2, 3

I'm sure forgetting more but I think this is enough.

Why you care? I'm curious. You prefer female over male protagonists? Me personally I don't really care.

I'm between Fran Bow, Anna's Quest, and Life is Strange. There are many more good games with female protagonists obviously, but these are the good ones that came first to my mind.

Take On Helicopters: Hinds - I've heard it's a female protagonist identifying as an attack helicopter

Bloodrayne, not sure why many people don't like the games. They are old but still I like them and the idea behind them is interesting. They would be very compatible with the nemesis system from mordor and the combat from mordor and the batman games if someone decides to remake/do a new bloodrayne game, especially the 2nd one wtih the ending it has.

Child of Light

Folks have mentioned all these earlier, but they bear repeating: Portal and Mirror's Edge and Lili: Child of Geos. Awesome games with female protagonists.

Also, literally every Artifex Mundi game.

Surprised I see no love for Emily Kaldwin.
