Wait, they want 3€ for 9 kinda poorly drawn pictures of the main character in her underwear? That's more than the game itself costs...

Oh well, I guess this is another dev for my personal blacklist. It's getting crowded there, with all these blanket-removals.

Revoked now here too. Bloody scamming cheating devs. Its this GA!

Still have it but I guess it's a matter of time. That's two months after giveaway.
Don't tell me indie devs are gonna massively revoke keys cuz they're butt hurt about reviews change, that's scummy as fuck.

So Devs now GA games then strike bundle deals and revoke keys whimsically and that leaves our account standing where? Don't we get marked habitual offenders for no fault of ours?

Are you surprised? Scum move by Valve, scum move by developers... it's a precedent.
Did Valve seriously not expect these things would happen?

i honestly don't know.
Steam should do something to the dev, but they probably don't care...

If Valve dealt with devs rather than just making generic everyone-hitting automatic "sollutions" we probably wont have this problem...

The hypothesis of this having anything to do with reviews from keys doesn't make any sense unless they want to a flood of spiteful negative reviews (I still seem to be able to review the game despite the produce being revoked; it makes sense otherwise people who got a refund on a product wouldn't be able to write a review warning players away).

Currently (or at least when I checked), the reviews show English audiences are mixed towards the game with no differences between keys and purchases. Meanwhile all languages shows positive while the purchased ones were more positive than the keys. Also reviews from keys were the minority.

It wouldn't matter since those key-activators don't count.
Isn't that sweet?

How many times have we not had devs, companies or other entities try and silence criticism, only for it to blow up in their face? And yet there are those who never learn from other people's mistakes...

Yep. You can throw logic out the window. Time and again we have seen devs chuck a wobbly without thinking things through.

People are gonna have to take a rain check on the neg reviews for now anyway since Valve fucked up.

My EvilMaze key (activated 4. 6. '16) seems to be alright so far. No message about revoking yet, I sure hope it stays that way for me O.o

Do you have any recollection where/how you got it? Just curious. Trying to get an idea of the situation here.

Huh, actually won it in a giveaway on Indie Gala. The same day I activated it, 4. 6.
Interesting, almost forgot about it haha.

I still have my copy, for the time being. I don't know which giveaway I got it from but apparently it wasn't the one with the bad keys.

I actually did play through all of Evil Maze and got all of the achievements. The game isn't that bad.

Mine is still there (for now). I got it Jun 29 from a 'random' game gleam hosted by Mamilos Club/Jogos Brazil.

From what I see around only that one certain gleam GA is reportedly affected with id cfITu.

Game was given out a lot on many places. On my Steam friendlist ownership count reduced only by 3 (from 168 to 165, checked first number about 20 min after first reports).

A mass revoke of all free keys looks different. More likely to be a specific issue with that one gleam GA. Nothing to do with Steam's review changes.

i wonder what "the bad man" did to cheat them, & who they are referring too?
but yes, its clear they felt cheated.

probably.. and not to create a conspiracy at all.... but i am still kind of wondering if its a lack of english skills and maybe they are referring to gaben "the bad man" and him preventing sales from the promotion of the 10000 keys and so they felt cheated...

"the third-party cheat us 10000keys & selling"
Gleam promised us that by giving away 10000 keys we would get a ton of valid reviews & sales due to the reviews

"we didn't allowed this but they do" = "we did not know they would not allow this"
steam has made a new clearer stance against exactly what gleam was doing and do not allow this

"we need to do somethings for the bad man"
this is us being stupid and trying to get back at gaben for being a bad man

edits: typos

additionally: yes i know there is no logic on how that could possibly get back at gaben, but logic goes out the window when people are enraged.

Could be, could be something different. I can decode a lot of broken English, but Orientals can be too enigmatic for me. Frankly, I read it as they supplied 10k keys for Gleam to sell it there, but they didn't understand that it was for a giveaway. Considering they stated somewhere that they hired a new person to deal with the English-speaking portion of the business and the game, it wouldn't surprise me.

yeah, i didnt really want to start some kind of conspiracy either. broken english like you said can be decoded or interpreted many different ways. so it is clear that they felt cheated for sure, but not exactly how they felt cheated.

That wasn't their first. Game was in several before.

supplied 10k keys for Gleam

Gleam is only the platform, they supplied it to a Steam group

You focus too much on the review stuff.
More likely they accuse the group getting the keys of not paying them or selling the keys unallowed.

i have no clue. but it was my attempt at being polite in saying it was not quite so clear whilst also attempting to not stir up the conspiracy side, though i knew it could backfire... lol =)

They have a pinned topic now:
http://steamcommunity.com/app/484950/discussions/0/350542114327684248/

"Due to many sources stating that copies of this game are being sold unofficially by a third party, we have revoked all keys that we believe to be unofficially obtained with help from Steam. If you want to support our game, please purchase it officially on Steam.

If you have bought this game officially on Steam and have gotten your key revoked, please contact Steam Support."
Wait, so is this people selling they keys they got from the gleam giveaway or something else entirely?

If you go to the dev's Steam profile, he seemingly corroborates this:

"the third-party cheat us 10000keys and selling ,we didn't allowed this but they do .we need do somethings for the bad man @caroline" [sic]

Unimportant Addendum: the reason why I linked a different account compared to the person that made the post, is because the poster is seemingly an officially appointed English moderator.

lololololololol...... this is how i see it

developer> if i give you keys will you sell them?
gleam> no we do not sell, but if we give them free it will cause you lots of sales
developer> oh you can sales 10k keys? awesome
gleam> no i said we would not be able to sell them, but it will cause sales
developer> ok i give you keys
gleam> "i wonder if he got what i meant" "shrugs"
gleam> 10k free copies come get em
......2months later..........
developer> we were cheated!!!
