This thread is really helpful. Steamgifts is a site with simple rules to follow where anyone can create any type of giveaway (with exceptions for not redeemable Steam keys). But I am not able to figure out why some overpriced games are on the list of giveaways to be created while other games, certainly better, or the Deluxe Editions are not options to choose for a giveaway.
That being said, I would like to contribute a bit as well :)

All games that Steam has should automatically show up here on SteamGifts because SG uses the Steam API. I don't know exactly how it works, but the API allows you to access information about all the games on Steam. So nobody is manually adding these overpriced games here on SG, they are just automatically showing up because they are available for sale on Steam.
As for games missing from the list. I believe that is because Steam must not have those in the Steam API for one reason or another. I think games will be removed if they are no longer for sale on Steam. If you create a support ticket, support can manually add these games back to the list.
I think some special editions or bundles don't show up because they are just listed for sale on the same Steam store page and not as a different product. If it is listed in the Steam store as a separate game with it's own Steam ID in the URL, it should show up here to give away, but if it is just an additional option to buy on the page with the same Steam ID, I don't think SG will have an option to give that away because that version doesn't have it's own identifier for SG to recognize it.
Again, I am not 100% positive about how this all works, but I think that is correct. There are some other users and supports members here that know a lot more about it than I do.

Hey AllTracTurbo! Thank you for answering.
I didn't think the website worked this way and, after reading your words and thinking about all the times I've searched for a game in vain, I think you've grasped the "way Steamgifts works" =)
I agree when you say that a special edition might have a different Steam ID than the base game however, in some cases, the Steam URL doesn't exist for that game. For example, if I want to create a giveaway for a copy of "Ni no Kuni™ II: Revenant Kingdom - Prince's Edition" then I can because, probably, it has a different Steam ID than the base game, but the steam store page doesn't exist.
I honestly don't intend to know how both Steam and Steamgifts work in detail, otherwise I would have opened a discussion just to talk about this xD
Anyway, thank you again for your reply and have a nice day! :D

There was a game for $500,000 that got reported here, but it was just the dev messing around. He saw something online about a game selling for $2000 and wanted to see how high he could price his game. Then after changing it realized that Steam only allows you to change a price so often and couldn't change it back. Then it was set to free. Here is a Steam thread about it.
Edit: It looks like it was $502,634. You can see the price history on ITAD here.

I'm curious to know why they list them for so high. Nobody would buy it and if they did, they would just get a refund. It doesn't make any sense. The more reasonable priced ones probably have something to do with money laundering, but I don't understand $2000. Maybe they just want to be talked about.
You can find other high priced games by just sorting the Steam store search by the highest price here:

[TL;DR] - Overpriced games on steam suck, report them all.
I've been finding a decent amount of drastically overpriced steam games. This one is $99.99, on sale for $9.99. No card or achievements, looks like a super basic .. thing, not sure it counts as a game. Only 8 reviews.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1547500/Snowboard/
here some of the others I've stumbled on and bookmarked.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2206480/GasZilla/ - $34.99 on sale for $3.49 and atleast it looks like a game. At the sale price, seems okay..
https://store.steampowered.com/app/655120/Space_Hero_Line/ - $49.99 on sale for $4.99
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1902260/Hidden_Western/ - $99.99 on sale for $9.99. The sale price seems like it should be roughly the normal price, not work $100
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1834290/Toy_War__Cannon/ - $99.99 on sale for $9.99. Another that feels like the normal price should be sale price.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1391990/Berries_Challenge/ - $99.99 on sale for $9.99. "Looks cool for sale price" .. 11 reviews, mostly negative
and last but not least, the worst one. I've stumbled on others like this, but this is only one I saved the link for.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1927710/Supreme_Race_on_Highway/ - $199.99 on sale for $19.99. ..17 reviews mostly positive, with newest ones being negative. This feels like maybe a $1 to $5 game at best.
Just felt it was time to share what I've found. I've seen all of these games either here on steamgifts, indiegala giveaway, or other similar sites, and the points to enter for the cost are bad, even worse is any money these people scam out of players.
Some basic or "crappy" games are actually good in some ways, and do deserve higher prices. I've seen $25 games that at least justify that price somehow, and then on sale for way cheaper. I support all the small designers, but when it's just for profit or gain, nawh I can't.
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh, three of the games I had as bookmarked, that used to have crazy prices, have dropped to normal prices. Don't have pics/links for what they used to be. Pretty sure one dropped from $49.99 to $2.99. So, I guess not everyone of these is bad, and/or they've been reported to steam enough times, that a price change happened. If we stay vigilant, we can minimize this BS. Still not sure how some of these games get cards and/or achievements though.
Comment has been collapsed.
They are money laundring games, cv/leveling exploits for sg, IG etc. and the devs/pubishers (which means for this games mostly the same guys) earn a few cents more in shady russian shops + DIG when they tag the games with a exorbitant high price.
None of this games will ever get cards or updates for the bugs etc..
For the next games will only be the assets changed and the games release as complete new ones (with the same bugs and problems).
It give too much that support the shady shops and buy such games direct or in bundles.

All of the games you've posted have already been set to 0CV, most of them for a year or more. It's nice that you want to help but posting games that have already been dealt with is actually making it harder for the mods that are looking at this thread and dealing with the problematic games.
So please - not just you, but everyone who wants to contribute - please check if a game that fits the topic has already been set to 0CV and don't post those again or if there's a reason to still post them, at least state that they've already been dealt with.
You can easily check by clicking the spyglass icon in a giveaway and taking a look at the app page on Steamgifts. If there's a date next to "No Value" in the upper right, it has already been dealt with and no giveaway since that date has given its creator any CV.

Okay, I apologize, I thought I scanned the posted and got rid of most of the dupes. I've been compiling a list for over a month, so I guess I messed up somehow with what was already posted. Also, never knew about the date->no value option, thank you for that. Sorry again then, just hit the point of being annoyed I had to post. I'll refrain from doing it again, unless it's not listed.
Comment has been collapsed.
Don't apologize. I am glad you understand the reasoning. Sorry that you were the one where I finally posted the whole thing. You weren't the first, you won't be the last. ^^
It could very well be that the games you've listed haven't been posted here so far. I haven't checked that. And it's not a general problem posting games that haven't been posted before as long as you also include the information if they already have reduced / no CV or not, so if and when a mod goes over the comments here, they can quickly skip the ones where they don't need to take action anymore.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, that all make sense. Even if they have been dealt with here, it probably help to report them to steam too, or at least that's one of my reasons for sharing. I've reported all the ones I listed as a fraud/scam on steam. I have also reported, at least most, of the ones from this post. This site/group is way more on top of it that anywhere else I've seen. The more we let them get away with it, they more they'll continue to do it. I don't post much, but felt I had to contribute to the cause. I didn't actually check the CV here for any of the ones I posted, still not used to doing that.

. If you see a giveaway, you can just click the magnifying glass icon to the right of the game name and it will bring you to a page that will show a date next to "No Value" if it has already been reduced to give 0 CV.
Thanks OP for pointing this out, I hadn't noticed it on my first read-through but I will try to remember to click that in future to check whether it has reduced/zero value or if it needs to be reported.
Does anyone know what happens to XP given out during the delay prior to this happeing?
For example Slayser was assigned No Value on 1 June 2023 but it's been listed at 78 dollars since being released on April 10th, meaning over a month of it possibly giving out excess XP in the store - does this later get redacted retroactively?
Comment has been collapsed.
I just added that part to the thread this morning.
When support removes CV from these games, they will backdate the time it counts as free to before the first giveaway was created on the site to make sure CV is taken away from all giveaways.
You can search the archive to see all previous giveaways of a game. The archive page for Slayser shows that there has only been 2 giveaways created and the first one was on June 20th. Support set the 0 CV date back to June 1st which is before the first giveaway.
Comment has been collapsed.
Once you activate the game on Steam, you own it forever, so they wouldn't be able to take that away.
If you are talking about entering for a giveaway, losing a level, then winning a giveaway you previously entered that is now restricted to above your level, I don't know what the rule is on that. I'm pretty sure you will remain entered in those giveaways. Support might let the giveaway creator pick a new winner, but I'm not sure.
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm not really worried about it, It's probably not a big deal. It is not uncommon for normal users to lose a level because they just barely get to the next level and then the price of a game they gave away drops in value on Steam. They will give some more games and be back at that level again soon.
The only time I would think it would be an issue is if someone game away these fake overpriced games and entered giveaways around level 6-10, then had their level drop low to like 1-4. The giveaway creator did not intend for someone like them to be able to enter and I could see that as a reason for a reroll. If they already received and activated the game, I think it would be too complicated to try and modify the CV somehow in those situations and it's not really worth trying to figure it out because it probably doesn't happen that often.

I'm not sure if the person that created the snake game decided to rename it and put it on Steam or if someone just stole it. It was a free game you could play online in your browser created back in 2018 called MechaSnek. Here is a youtube video from the developer.
Edit: Also, the 100% positive reviews on both of the devs games on Steam look fake. It fits the same pattern as pretty much all of the other games here where they list the games for cheap, have 10 or 12 fake 100% positive reviews and then increase the price to something really high. Just scrolling through the reviewers, I can see multiple accounts that reviewed both of the games.
Comment has been collapsed.
I didn't look to deep into it, other than the gameplay vids looking decent for once/price history.
possible this is stolen work, I can't be bothered to tweet at the guy to catch his attention so he can get it removed legally if it is stolen. Seems to be the only way to contact him.

Please read this part before linking a game: If you are going to link a game here, please check to make sure that it has not already had it's CV removed. Support has already removed the CV from a very large number of these type of games. People can still create giveaways for the games, they just won't get any credit for them. There are a few different ways you can check. If you see a giveaway, you can just click the magnifying glass icon to the right of the game name and it will bring you to a page that will show a date next to "No Value" if it has already been reduced to give 0 CV. You can also go to the bundle game list here and search the name of the game or it's Steam ID. It will show a date in the "No Value" column if it has already had it's CV removed. The last way you can check is to go to the page to create a giveaway here and type in the name of the game or the Steam ID. The game has already had it's CV removed if there are 2 red asterisks next to the name of the game.
A lot of games have been reported in this thread that have not had their value reduced. To make it easier to see if a full CV game has already been reported here in the past, PoeticKatana has taken the time to go through the entire thread and check all the reported games. He found a large number of games that have not been reduced and created a table with a list of all the games and other helpful info about them.
Gelweo has taken over and is updating the list of games that have already been reported.
List of reported games that have not had their CV removed yet
List of reported games that have already been reduced to 0 CV
Update: Thanks to the support members who are looking into this. I noticed that many of the games listed below have been set to reduced or no value. Dropping the games to no value is great, but letting them get reduced value on fake $50 games is still kind of crazy. They are still getting $7.50 real CV each for dozens of copies of $50 games. It would be nice if those could be reduced more, but at least something is being done. Thanks for helping :)
Update 2: Big thanks again to support. A comment has been posted to let us know that all the games listed here have been added to the free list so they don't give anyone CV at these crazy prices. I just checked the dates on all the games compared to the date of the first GA anyone created for them on SG and I am happy to report that every game listed here has been set so that nobody will get any CV from these games no matter when they created the GAs.
Update 3: I just want to point out that this thread is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all of these type of games. I stopped adding games to the list here a long time ago. I originally created the thread to try and figure out why these games are being priced so high and if there was something that could be done to prevent users from abusing them to cheat the CV system. There is a large number of these games being created and support has been working to remove the CV from them. There are probably hundreds of these games at this point and I have no intention of trying to keep track of them all.
I am not a support member, so I personally cannot modify the value of these games. If you want to report one of these games that has not had it's value reduced yet, support members may be watching this thread and posting about the game here may get their attention, but I am not positive. I believe the official way to report these games is to file a support ticket in the "Add game to list" category.
Also, if you notice that some of the games listed here are not expensive anymore, they were at one time and probably will be again. I do not know why they change the prices so drastically. The game may be $2 one day and $200 the next.
Original Thread
I just noticed users giving away multiple copies of games that are full CV with a value of $50 (a lot are $50, some are $25-45) and they look like they should cost $1 or $2. There is no way anyone would pay that much for these games and they all have around 10-12 review that are 100% or 90% positive.
Is someone creating these games for the purpose of cheating the CV system here or is there some other reason why they would be created and somehow users here got keys to give away?
I am not saying that everyone who gives away one of these games is bad since I can understand if a user normally creates giveaways for any free keys they get and happens to get one of these from somewhere, but I checked one user's account and they are creating multiple GAs of most of these games and another account that is giving away 5 copies each of a lot of them.
I'm not sure what can be done, but maybe support could manually set the value of games like these to $1 or just mark them as free so they don't give any CV. I don't think anyone would have much to complain about because I doubt anyone is actually paying much if anything for these. The only ones that would be upset would be the ones who lose their fake CV, but they have nothing to complain about.
I just want to point out that the majority of users, like myself, have been here for many years slowly working our way up through the levels. I am almost level 8 after 8 years, but if I knew where to buy these games on grey market sites for pennies, I could be level 10 tomorrow. I don't want to do that though because it is wrong and if everyone started doing it, it would hurt the site. If a new level 0 user gives away 5 copies each of 12 of the $50 games listed, they would be level 9. It would probably only cost them around $10 to do this where it would cost the average user giving away their spare Humble Monthly games around $1200 or someone who looks for decent sales or bundles that give about 4 times what they pay in CV around $750. (Edit: It is no longer just $50 games, there is now a very large number of these games giving $200 CV)
This is just a short list of examples from when I created the thread. There are hundreds more that follow the same pattern.
