It hasn't been "slow" for me, but it's been having bad requests. When a page does load, it's quick as ever. (Actually better than ever, since the server upgrades.)

I still think all these complaints could be solved by doing two things: Drop contributor score and have users limit entry to their giveaways in another way(Make them private/group based perhaps.), and also limiting the number of times a certain game can be given away concurrently on the site at any time.
