I don't care about it since I can't change it....

Portuguese... One of the most ancient so yeah... pretty proud.
It sucks at the moment though.
But like most said, nationality doesn't mean shit.

I'm proud to be Portuguese, it's a great geological mass of land, with tons of sight seeing, beaches, snow, it's kinda of small so we can go everywhere easily, BUT I'm not proud to live in it. People are greedy, tons of corruption, everybody talks trash about everybody, I myself, had to quit my last 2 jobs, because I couldn't stand the way things worked, people that did the least, were rewarded because they were friends/family with the bosses, there's no respect for anyone, most people think they are entitled to do everything they want, even if it compromises the nest persons liberty. TV is just the worst ever, the most watched shows are things like big brother, with hot vips instead of "normal" population, where there's nothing but dumb people participating and watching. Every single news media is controlled by rich corporations and the government, high unemployment rate for young adults, I could continue but it would just make me sadder.
TL;DR: The country is great for visiting, but DEFINITELY NOT for living. If anyone has a job for an IT guy, I would be out of this forsaken country in a flash :(

+1 (Except the being proud of being Portuguese) Only thing keeping me here is a promise I made to someone.

I'm proud but it would be better if all politicians(no exceptions) were hanged along the road.

I think i don't understand the concept of being proud of ones country. I have done nothing other than paying taxes^^. I haven't contributed to this country in any major way... so why should i be proud of it? I can only be proud of something i have contributed to. If I would have accomplished nothing in my personal live, yeah then maybe I would be proud of this country because I would have nothing else to be proud of i guess...Someone enlighten me please.
Other than that I'm happy to live in Austria. It's pretty ideal here besides the incapable politicians (but i guess pretty much every one can say that about their country politicians^^)

It's not bad, the international image is Britain is reasonably good with most peoples of the world, we invented a lot of the sports which are played across the world. The insularity displayed by some people that comes from being an island nation is irritating and we have possibly one of the worst governments we've ever had right now, so many of the decisions just to have been planned in the most awful way. But it doesn't really matter, we're all humans really, you are who you are and there's most likely someone on the opposite side of the world who's feeling the same way as you or has some parallel circumstances

I'm ashamed to be part of the human race at times :'(

Why am I asking this question here?
It is common opinion that most people from my country are drunks and thieves (yes, probably many of them are ;( ). And many of them are acting like kids and boors even while playing online, I'm very ashamed of them.
When I play games online I never reveal what country I am from.
How about you? Are you proud of ashamed to be of your nationality?
