Done. I'm currently getting my master's in digital game design and development, so anything to help a future game developer out!

Nice! Let me know if you ever need help with anything; surveys, beta testing, etc, I'd love to return the favor if I can. :3

Says I haven't filled out certain questions when I have.

It should be fixed now, but thank you for trying.:)

Survey done, hope you can use my answers! :D

please make sure when you ask people to take ten minutes to fill out your survey, that it can actually be submitted! I tried several times and all is accurate and I spent nearly 30 minutes giving extra info and I repeatedly get an error message that I didn't fill something in(which is incorrect)and it's very frustrating, lol. Anyhow I tried. :)

I'm very sorry >_< Should be fixed now, but I'll make sure to include you in the giveaway even if you don't end up submitting it. xD Thank you for trying!

<3 Thanks for the help!
I kind of like puzzles, but I usually fail at solving them, haha. ;_;

Done - fun survey (I love surveys), though I wish you would have added a comment box on the question about preferred color styles. I would have liked to point out that it's important, no matter how dark or colorful a game is, that game elements (enemies or important items) need to stand out from the background and scenery, unless they're intentionally being hidden, like secret items or monsters in Amnesia: The Dark Descent. A lot of twin-stick shooters on Steam nowadays especially have this problem, where the enemies you need to kill can barely be determined from the bullets and from the background.

That is a valuable comment, thank you! I'll make sure to keep note of that.
I do have that problem of not being able to see some things with some shooter/rhythmn games on steam. I wasn't sure if it was just me. But there are times everything is so colorful and there's so much going on I can barely find myself in the whole mess, let alone differentiate my own bullets from the enemies', haha.
I really really appreciate you taking the time to respond, it's kind of rare to see people enjoying surveys, so it makes me happy. :)

+1 For some questions I feel like none of the options really suit my preference, but it might be hard to standardize that way :P

Yeah, it was hard trying to decide on the answers, haha ): And the whole thing was so long already, I was afraid of scaring people with even more big blank spaces for them to write on.

That is why I didn't like Killing Floor. Couldn't really diference zombies from the enviroment.

I love Killing Floor but I think we're getting into a different topic here...

Sorry. I only say that to state an example of what you said. No offtopic meant.

I personally don't really have trouble differentiating the zombies from the environment. The only time it's difficult is when the map is really dark (i.e. "Farm"), although then it's more of a gameplay mechanic, because you need someone to use a flashlight to sort of "spotlight" the enemies for you. My statement was more directed towards the 2D twin-stick shooters that are now cropping up on Steam, where everything has bright explosions and colorful backgrounds and the enemies are all fast and blurry and shiny and it's impossible to tell whether bullets are your own or your enemies'.

Oh. I only played in Farm a couple of times. That must be it.
And sorry, I misunderstood you before. But yes, you do have a point there. I agree.

And done. That was an interesting survey, sounds like a very cool project you're working on. I hope you keep us updated on your progress!

Nov 19th Update:
I'll be making a steam group and inviting everyone who participated to it so you guys get properly notified when the giveaway begins! Make sure to accept the invitation (it'll take me a while to invite everyone, so don't despair if you haven't been invited yet) The game that will be given away is yet to be determined, since I still have to count everyone's votes. But I'll post the results as soon as I can. :)
The amount of replies was truly amazing. I was expecting like 20 people to answer at most, and it's already past 400! So I'll be closing the survey now or it'll take me a year to read everything, haha. <3 Thank you very much for the input everyone, you are awesome!
Phew, I think I managed to add everyone into the group :) If I missed you for some reason please let me know!
People who filled the survey but I couldn't find on steamgifts or steam:
Konnazzz
brunolima_
leomorg
If you're on that list, please tell me who you are so I can add you to the group!
The long explanation, for those kind enough to read:
I've been wanting to do another giveaway for a while now, but I've been kind of poor. With my recent lucky spree, however, I feel even more like giving something back in here because you guys are all awesome. And since Black Friday and Christmas sales are coming soon, there's no better time for that! :)
But announcing this future giveaway isn't my only purpose for making a thread, of course.
The thing is.. I'm going to graduate from college in a little over than a year. And though right now I have to work on a 3D Enabled Gamebook that'll be using Kinect for its operations(a college research project), I'm planning to make a little adventure game prototype (that I'll hopefully make into a working game) as my graduation assignment next year. :) Part of the job, however, is all the research, so I'm launching this survey to get some general ideas documented.
I know it might seem like a lot of questions, but some of them are optional. There's also a little space where you can tell me which game you would like me to giveaway. Perhaps this way it'll be more pleasing?
I'm not rich though, so I won't be able to give you Skyrim, haha, but I'll try my best to give away something nice and on accord to the majority of requests submitted if I can afford it.
The Survey is CLOSED as of Nov 19th. Thank you for the help!
