here's the obligatory giveaway. Lvl +1. Ends in 3 days. If you don't speak spanish, don't need to answer, but a bump is really appreciated. Thanks.

Gracias!

Bump!! Also I would recommend you La Oreja de Van Gogh, Estopa, Marea, Extremoduro, La Polla Records and Amaral. There are more of course but these would be the best for what you want to use them for. By the way all of those are from Spain.

No problem, make sure you grab the ones that are sung by Amaia Montero the group started going downhill after she left.

La polla records, marea and extremoduro are great bands but it would be hard to understand. I think that would be better to begin with pop music because its more slower than rock/punk. La oreja de van gogh is good for learn.

Not a fan of spanish music, but since i'm from Spain I feel the obligation to answer xD Well, old songs from David Bisbal, David Bustamante, Ricky Martin and Soraya, then Reno Renardo (this group makes parody song, so you can also check the song they're parodiing, they are very funny), Héroes del Silencio and Amaral. And my favourite, Jarabe de Palo (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgf5QlcyTFY)

And the groups and singers the other people have recommended are good too ^^

Also, I don't know if you've heared this, but it's very funny if you're learning spanish: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyGFz-zIjHE

Edit: Fito y Fitipaldis and some Melendi's songs can be good too. Here's a preview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUXs4Nt3Y7Y and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxQjx7FkmNA

I think you should watch movies or TV series, since you will hear Spanish being used in a more natural way.

I realized that although tv/movies are more natural, it's really easier to remember a song. The lyrics stays in your mind for weeks making it the best way to learn and retain new words. At least in my opnion.

I see your point. In my case, when I listen to music, I don't usually pay attention to lyrics. ^_^U Well, since somebody already recommended you "Fito & Fitipaldis", I would add "Platero y Tú".

pronuncia/escuta
