I needed that, my shirts always come out folded like towels. :D

It worked. I never knew it could be so simple or fast. I used to feel really bad going and trying on clothes in the store cause I felt bad about messing up the folded shirts. True story.

I've been doing that for years. Learned it from a Japanese lady.
Doesn't work with long-sleeved shirts, unfortunately. :(

Probably old news to many here, but might help someone: Clicking the scroll wheel/middle mouse button opens links in new tabs. I don't know how many years I reached for the Ctrl-button to Ctrl-click links for opening them in new tabs faster than right click-left click in menu without knowing this.

Given my great love of opening new tabs I installed an add-on called 'Right LInks' so that the right click opens a new tab by default. (Holding ctrl while clicking now opens the menu.) The add-on is also useful for viewing non-link pictures (in many cases it saves me the trouble of opening page info to get to them). It's very convenient. I recommend it.

So does this make me not a weirdo or us both weirdos?
writing this on a PS Vita is very difficult.

Not sure. Either one is fine, though!
I sometimes have to do a bit of typing on my PS3 and Xbox360, and used to do so on my Wii and DSi, so I know what you mean.

I use too many tabs for this to be useful and handy >:

If you hold Left Alt and press the Tab key repeatedly, you'll browse through your computer's open windows.
Alternatively, you may want to use Windows Key + Tab to have a "fancier" way to browse through them.
Use your middle mouse button to open links in new tabs, close tabs, and slow scroll.
Go to your start menu and launch cmd "Command Prompt". From there, type "dxdiag" (without the quotation marks) and hit enter to gain access to an info panel about your computer's hardware and software specifications.
When searching on Google, multiple "commands" can be used to narrow your search results. For example, typing:
site:steamgifts.com [your search keywords]
will search only Steamgifts.com for results. On the other hand, searching:
-site:steamgifts.com [your search keywords]
Will eliminate any results from Steamgifts.com in your search.
Another useful one is using quotation marks to search a specific chain of keywords in the correct order. For example, you want to search for "A cake eating a kitten" but the result always turns up "A kitten eating a cake". To fix the issue, instead of searching:
a cake eating a kitten
You should add quotation marks:
"a cake eating a kitten"
Google will then search for the keywords in that exact order.
Sink is clogged? Drop a few teaspoons of baking soda in the sink, and pour about a half a glass of white vinegar. If it fails, at least it was fun watching the chemical reaction of baking soda with vinegar.
I'm pretty sure everyone already knows these... But heck. If someone doesn't yet, they should.

There is very little dialog to keep you going...
Well, some spanish, some italian, etc... but mostly you know, Minion babble.

Don't know if it counts as a lifehack, or if it's just a useful thing to know:
If you need to cool something quickly (like the guests beer at a party) take a container and fill it with ice & water. Now add a generous amount of salt to it as well. You'll now cool your drinks faster.
Warning: Be careful with glass bottles, you don't want to freeze those. Cooling them, sure, but they can shatter if the content freezes, so don't leave them in for too long.
How it works:
Adding salt to water lower the freezing point of it (hence why you salt the roads), this means that you can have water that is colder than 0C (regular freezing point at atmospheric pressure for you Yanks). The ice will cool the water, and start melting at this lower freezing point, thus you'll be able to cool your drinks faster, as the water will be colder.

That's a nice hack!
Related is the fact that a container filled with ice and water will cool drinks faster than one filled wholly with ice. The water works better because it conforms to the shape of the bottles/cans and therefore has more surface area in contact, increasing the heat conduction away from the drinks that need to be cooled.

In case you can't stand snoring, here's a tip on how to silence it while you're in bed! It's a little uncomfortable and weird looking, but i've found myself falling asleep using it anyway, so it works.
And that's it. Of course, there are much more comfortable ways to plug your ears, such as earmuffs, but if you don't wanna bother to get those, my solution works pretty well too.

And if it's hot outside, aim the vents toward the windows and roll down the windows... Sure it sucks, but better to be warmer than to have an overheating car...
Comment has been collapsed.
I knew about this from many years in the desert. Its better to sweat your balls off than to have your car break down in the middle of nowhere, especially the desert. If you do have to do this, keep in mind to take it easy on your car. This is a workaround, not a solution.

Useful tips for all! I'll start.
If your Chrome crashes and you Find you've lost all your tabs, don't panic! Press Ctrl+Shift+T.
This restores your previously closed session (press multiple times if you had multiple windows).
Also good for when you accidentally close a window or some tabs.
Now, it's your turn to share something :o.
