Color is merely the spectrum of electromagnetic radiation interacting with your photoreceptor neurons. As such, it is impossible to empirically state that "orange" as interpreted biochemically by you has the same characteristics as it does for me given exposure to the same light waves. This variation is especially apparent in people who are colorblind, as they are exposed to the same radiation but cannot distinguish between some wavelengths due to their unique physiology.
TL:DR Telling me your favorite color has little meaning to me.
