Hi everyone! These guys at Benetton just approved around 100 more projects. Which means I'm not the only one on the run anymore. Now more than ever I'd love some help with this.
It's really, really important to me, because this is the best chance I have to fund my next documentary. I would be able to buy a better camera, sound capture devices, and pay for all the expenses during the shooting.
Thanks for everyone that helped so far!

Another shameless bump. Once again, I'd like to thank everyone who helped me so far, the majority of the votes I've received came from here, and I'm deeply thankful for that. SteamGifts is the best community I've ever been. Thank you everyone!

Voted ! Good luck! The documentary looks promising. Where can we see the whole film?

I just sent the documentary to a couple festivals. I'll let it "tour" a bit on those, then I got an offer to display it on a cable TV channel, and shortly after it goes on TV, I'll put it on the Web so that everyone can see it.
However, I'll put my new documentary (the one I'm trying to get money for through the Benetton contest) on the Internet as soon as I finish it.

Also, I have to make the subtitles for it. I've never done something like that before, I don't even know which software/plug-in should I use for that. But right now I'm just focused on the festivals and finishing my thesis. After that I'll work on the subtitles (and hopefully, this new documentary).

Hi everyone! I figured we'd play a game, since this is steamgifts after all.
I'm a young filmmaker and I just finished my first HUGE project. It was a documentary about the everyday life on Schist villages in Portugal (you can see the trailers and whatsoever in here, here, here, and here). I produced, edited, filmed, and directed this 36 minute documentary all by myself (I apologize for not having subtitles, but all of my current work finishing the color correction on the documentary, plus writing my thesis, as you can imagine, takes all the time I have left).
Now I find myself looking forward a more "urbanish" project. I was thinking about making a new documentary about young artists, that such as myself, keep working on new ideas and projects. So far I've determined I'm going to follow the steps of a bboy/bgirl, a musician, and an illustrator. But for such a project, funding is always needed. For my last documentary, I managed to get 1600€ from a Crowdfunding campaign. This time I don't want to ask people for money again, I want to try something new.
So this is where you come in. I entered for the Benetton "Unemployee of the year" contest, which gives 5000€ to finance the winners project. The top 100 projects with more votes get the prize.
All you have to do is vote here: Our Artists Project (it's a temporary title, don't worry).
You have to click on "Connect with Facebook", and then there should be a button on the bottom of the page with "Aprecciate it" written on, and you can login with Facebook to register your vote, so it's a fairly simple process.
Everyone who votes for this project, please comment here. I'll do a group at the end of the contest, and everyone who voted for me will be invited to this group and get the chance to win a game of their choice (I'll make a poll and you'll vote for the game you want).
Seems fair enough?
Thanks everyone!
PS: I made a new promotional video in ENGLISH for you guys! Check the video out! Thank you!
PS2: If anyone has any doubts about how the contest works, what's the documentary about, what I've been working until now, etc., just ask me. I'll try to answer to every doubts you guys might have! Thanks for helping me so far!
