What alignment do you prefer in RPGs?
Chaotic neutral/true neutral. Because good/evil usually either ends up being populated by zealots/closed minded fools or peeps who are evil apparently just for the sake of being evil. I also don't like being forced to take a certain action just because my alignment forces me to. So i'd rather walk my own path and be benevolent when i feel like i should be and evil/harsh when i feel someone deserves it.

I used to start from neutral when I played old-school RPGs like BG or NWN, but always ended up on the side of good, because:
A) I am unable to be anything but nice to characters in video games
B) the "evil" options tended to be really stupid, just evil for the sake of being evil, without logic, foresight or even understandable motivations.
For more recent example - I went full Paragon in Mass Effect because... well, see point A. But ME's morality system at least made more sense.

I actually chose the option I like the most, sometimes it's evil, but most of the time is good. I rarely go for neutral, seems too boring that way :]

I used to always play evil, since i lacked the discipline to be selfless, now i usually play neutral (neutral as in do a bit of both and go my own way, not as in zen-buddhist always the middle point way.)
I'd probably be called evil though. >:3

Depends on the game. Most RPG's tend to have very poorly defined alignments and the various forms of "evil" and "good" usually fall into the category of "Do the quest and refuse payment/demand more payment".
I tend to favor a neutral alignment but is so very rarely offered so I usually just end up picking "good" because that's what has the most content 9/10 times.
But to answer your question more directly, Chaotic Neutral.

Mostly good, but I like to choose Humor from time to time.

I try to play a chracter fitting to the group of character & players (pen&paper). I think going for a set g/n/e alignment is great for mechanical purpose (like D&D spells) but takes away much of the role playing part. I had great times with RPG systems in which you choose some defining traits and focus on them, gaining advantages if you play according to your traits or use them as motivation for actions (I think the system was called "Pool" but I am not sure).

LAWFUL GOOD!
Sorry about the all caps, I was just in character there for a moment.

Chaotic good all the way. I will do the right thing, even if your laws don't allow me to...
