Well, I've finished Terra Incognita Ch.1!
It wasn't as bad as I thought it was. The game is surprisingly detailed, there are just some bugs in it every now and then (and I feel the quest system needs some polishing up). I can tell the dev spent a lot of time crafting everything, and it can be a pretty awesome game in the end -- hope they make Ch. 2 and the final chapter!

Congrats! Glad you liked it in the end. Approved as beaten :)

I just checked hltb and I'm so surprised it says 4 hours! I know a couple people who played it and they got stuck on puzzles for 45+ mins. Looks like such an interesting game though, hope you enjoy it. :)

Seen a comment about their first, blind playthrough took 45 hours. I start to think that hard games are borked on HLTB, like people uploading bragging times instead of real ones. Recently played Seraph - took 11 hours while the site said 5. Hyper Light Drifter's 5-ish also quite impossible unless playing with a guide, because navigation is hell in that game. I need to activate I think 4 regions, with 4 energy 'slivers' each (I'm pretty unsure, game in nonverbal) and it took me about 2 hours to get 3 slices in ONE region. HLTB is just drunk with some games. Baba is You surely won't get done by Monday's noon, with most of my Sunday also spent at a family gathering. Maybe something else...

Yeah I'm not positive what they consider the main game vs the + extras either, so maybe they're just skipping a lot of levels.
The games I find to be the most off consistently for me are rogue-likes/lites. Apparently people speed through them way quicker than I can, even having played a fair amount. It makes sense that puzzle/p&c games that have guides easily accessible would also have skewed results. The Baba is You speedrun is 5 minutes, if you have the solutions memorised. After seeing a handful of levels being played by a streamer, I know I'd be stumped for quite some time as well. :) Definitely think it'd be best without any time pressure!

Mostly the values from astats.nl are way more fitting in my opinion.
For your examples:
Baba is you
Seraph
Hyper Light Drifter

Nice! Most of my wins are over 8 months old as well so also for me almost everything is fair game :) Btw if you want the submissions for October are already opened on the website, just the thread is not :)

Added everything that was in the comments and worked with the theme on the site. If someone wants anything more added please scream at me because I am not rechecking the comments this night because I gotta work tomorrow.

Sorry, I am a tiny bit late but it has been approved now :) Congrats on finally finishing it!

Well, my Sunless Sea run ended at 39 hours in when a terror monster got my crew insane and made them murder me, forcing a full restart since rogue-like.
Not really up to restarting from scratch (even liking the game) and with a huge backlog I'll throw in the towel. Not sure how well it counts for completion (or not), guess it doesn't really matter much at this point anyway.
Game's great, had fun, should have turned on manual save instead of the full experience with one-save. Oh well... onto the next game :)

Oh that can sure count as beaten :) I set the status to beaten on the site and approved it. All but one giveaway is still running so feel free to check them out :)

Thanks. At one point I understand why it's rogue (since it kinda reduces the tension and desperiation of all to save) on the other hand, maybe if your game is like 50 hours maybe it shouldn't be rogue. Then again, I could have just enabled manual saving so it's all my fault, but I was kind of struggling getting stats anyway (getting 175 skill required checks and me at 50 without any seemingly good way to raise anymore) so I guess it was a good ending point after all.
And that means next month (this month?) a new game instead of a 3rd repeat as I originally planned XD

50 hours seems like waaaay too much for a rogue-like indeed o.o
I hope you will enjoy whatever you decide to play next :)

Oh, this thread is still open? Does that mean I can get credit for beating 911 Operator two hours late after all? (I did try submitting it on the website, but the event was already closed.)
