AMD, MSAA, and Hitman: Absolution do not get along... (Further: Game is available to play now!)

I've got the following:

  • Processor: i5-3570K
  • Video card: MSI Twin Frozr 7950
  • RAM: 8 GB DDR3-1600

I tried running Hitman: Absolution right now and all settings were giving me no more than 25 FPS at their lowest settings. I turned off MSAA and "Ultra" grants me a minimum FPS of 38, average of ~57 FPS. Just a quick note for those of you with AMD GPUs who might scratch your head at the 10 FPS you might get even on "Medium."

I have a 7870 and it defaulted to medium with MSAA off and everything seemed fine at 1920x1200. FPS hovered around 60 with dips to around 56-57. I didn't see any reason to need to mess with the settings.
