I own the first episode. I want the Season Pass, which is the only way to get episodes 2-5 (right?).

Because of the way they set it up (as a DLC without its own page), I can't seem to add it to my wishlist. I'm pretty sure you can't set up a giveaway for it on here. If someone put one in as a Life is Strange giveaway nobody who could use it would even be able to enter the giveaway. Do I have this all correct? Kinda sucks if you ask me.

You can give the season pass or the complete edition in the giveaways here on steamgifts

I don't see how you could add it to wishlist though yeah, that's very odd.

But you can't enter/activate complete if you own Episode 1. If you already own episode one you have to get the season pass.

Well yeah, of course.

Not of course at all. In almost every other case you'd still be able to activate the complete version as long as there was at least one item in it that you didn't own. Dontnod and/or Square Enix have just made an absolute mess of the apps/packages involved.

It's really not that urgent a matter, it's only a problem because of the way this site works.

Not entirely. It's not uncommon for sales to discount complete editions but not DLCs or to have a significantly lower discount on the DLCs making it cheaper to just buy the complete edition to get whatever your missing but in this case you cant.

Still you can delete ep 1 from your account and buy complete pack (or at least I think it should work, I don´t have ep 1 myself - for obvious reason I want to get full experience in game, so don´t know), if it has better price, but of course it cause some problems for sg and other giveaways sites, where you can´t enter for whole pack even if creator agree with it.

Oh, that. That bug is because the package only lists the base game [since they never updated the package as each following episode was released], so it assumes you own 100% of the package contents.
That's the reason both for the activation issue, and the SG not-letting-you-enter issue.

You can't wishlist it bu it can be given away here, I've just checked.

I can't seem to be able to add it to my wishlist but there is an option to give it away called "Life is Strange Season Pass (Episodes 2-5)" just like it's called on Steam.

Edit: 30 seconds too slow, oh well. :D

We can enter if it's "Life is Strange Season Pass (Episodes 2-5)", but not "Life Is Strange™" or "Life Is Strange Complete Season (Episodes 1-5)".

I guess I should wishlist the complete game then? Assuming THAT is doable... Odd to see a major game not set up right on Steam. A wonder they don't fix it. I generally use my wishlist to browse giveaways here. I don't usually check the main URL unless I have SP to spare.

But you can't wishlist the complete game either, it's annoying me too. I still use the search box for the season pass sometimes, that's the only way I think.

Thanks! I guess I will have to do that. I will probably put something about the situation in a review as well as a thread on the game's discussion board.

It's not that odd, actually. Try wishlist New Vegas Ultimate or Oblivion GOTY Deluxe, just to mention two.

There's many games coming in several editions, only one of which can be wishlisted.

It's set up correctly, at least as far as the package-not-having-its-own-page is a typical thing.
[However, the package itself is not configured properly, which is a separate issue.]
Only some publishers bother making separate pages for separate games; most games only utilize a single page for all package variations of a game.
A game has to have its own separate store page to be able to be wishlisted, and most publishers don't think to bother making separate store pages just for that purpose.

However.. Edit: Nevermind. :(

I have this exact problem. I also own the first episode via Humble, but there is no way to put the season pass or the complete game on my Steam wishlist because according to Steam I already own the game. So there's no way to look for either of those on SG except by manual search. :P

SG now checks your wishlist against packages, and your wishlist tab should list any packages that include your wishlisted items [eg, wishlist Skyrim and Legendary Edition now shows up in your wishlist tab].

Ergo, all you need to do is wishlist any one of the episodes you don't own, and bam, it ought show up on Steamgifts (assuming SG can cross-check against DLCs- in the example of Skyrim, you're still wishlisting a base game, so it's a bit different, and I haven't tested the DLC thing myself to be able to confirm it works).
[If it doesn't, all hope is lost, and we clearly need to riot and light everything on fire. #TypicalSaturday]

It doesn't work in this case. There is no option on Steam itself to wishlist the other editions since I already "own the game" by virtue of having episode 1 in my library. :P

Ah, forgot they were completely unlisted on Steam [Steamdb does still list them]. If you can figure out a way to wishlist it through Steamdb, that ought do it- but yeah, otherwise there doesn't seem to be a way to access them, since the DLCs ALSO don't have separate pages. :/

Honestly, I think the plan mentioned above of inquiring about the matter with the publisher is the best approach, there's just too much mucked up with the configuration to not at least try and see if they'd be willing to fix it up some. :/

I contacted Square Enix, but they told me they have no control on this and redirected me to Steam. I don't think the person who answered me was very familiar with Steam and didn't really understand what I said. I left a little feedback on their survey, maybe I'll get another answer.

While the error isn't on the side of SG, I agree. It does suck.
