BUMP! I don't know why they censor curse words either. If they really wanted to censor it they would remove it or change the word but instead they just cover up one letter.

A "chocolate bar" tastes good, because you like milk and sugar. There is almost no chocolate in it at all.
"SHOCKING! User discovers a way to enter hidden private giveaways, the mods HATE him! [Lvl 3+]

I prefer the "See who won a giveaway while the winner is still anonymous, because it hasn't been marked as received yet" trick. Because that one is real.

The chocolate or the ability to see who is actually the anonymous winner? Unfortunately I forget the trick to entering the names in the URL bar to see who was the winner. As for chocolate:

Milk chocolate is, by definition, less than 30% Chocolate and few, if any milk chocolate bars ever exceed 20%. In milk-chocolate-candy, what you taste is not Chocolate. Milk-chocolate-candy is primarily sugar and spices with almost no Chocolate at all:

Three 30 gram Hersheys® bars contain about 12 Cacao beans total,
one 100g 85% Cacao, plain Chocolate bar contains about 99 Cacao beans!

There is of course, nothing wrong with candy, or with liking candy, but don't call it Chocolate. Don't pretend you are ingesting Chocolate, and don't call yourself a Chocoholic if you eat only milk-chocolate-candy.

Wow, I had no idea! I know that there was hubub over "chocolate" vs "chocolatey"

By law “they” (the violators) cannot use the word “chocolate” because the coating is made with vegetable fats instead of cocoa butter, thus making it a chocolate like substance, not actually chocolate.

Neither*. Chocolate bar costs that much because they are ridiculously overcharging. Even the best bars I know of and have tasted barely manage to make a price less than half that worth it and when you take into account that even great bars can cost a tenth of that 15 it is just flat out absurd. You hit diminishing values for quality way, way faster than you hit them in quantity...

*Well except for the people who draw enjoyment from the money spent instead of what the product actually is which- sadly- means a lot of people.

Its quite true, though. The wine industry has had that issue for a very long time, and yet many cheaper wines are just as good. Its all about what people think they are consuming.

As a serious beer and to a lesser extent wine connoisseur (read: drunk) I must respectfully disagree. There are many cheap varieties of both that are just as good as more expensive brands, but the primary differences between "good" and cheap wine is the provenance; but this explains it more easily than I feel like doing right now: http://winefolly.com/tutorial/truth-cheap-vs-expensive-wine/

Oh, I already knew all of that. But researchers have done blind taste tests and almost everybody can't really tell the difference between a very expensive wine and a sub-$20 bottle of wine. The markup for certain countries, regions, and labels can be astounding. Its all a matter of clever marketing, much like how diamonds are expensive, even though they're not rare.

Ah yes, that is all true:) I mean, personally I tend to only drink wine when someone else has brought wine to a gathering; I'm always the guy bringing the craft/micro-brewed goodness or the single malt scotch. Less of the latter nowadays, due to lack of monies:/

My sister got me more into wines because she's had the good fortune to travel to wine country in the US and South America, and has turned me on to a variety of brands. Most are well within the affordable range.

The West Coast of the U.S. is home to a lot of great wines. The NW in particular has been producing some excellent stuff in recent years, although like you, I'm much more of a micro-brew guy. I think I only drink wine on Thanksgiving, and that's because it pairs so nicely with the turkey.
