Been some time since I used TS3, but I sometimes get this error when I'm traveling and usually located in a place that is relatively far from the server location.
You might want to check the latency/ping of your connection as if it takes too long to connect to the servers, TS3 will display that message.
PS: Also I forgot to mention, try pinging the server you are trying to reach in your cmd line. Also you can get that message if you are banned from the server , so you might want to enquire abt that possibility too. I recommend you to post your logs at the TS3 server help forums, there are more knowledgeable people there.

Ahh , good for you. Probably TS3 wasn't resolving the final IP correctly.

There is a server in TS3 I consistently trying to join yet only rarely succeed.
The only message that appears after failing to connect is "Failed to connect to server".
Any help appreciated!
