That's the current gen console tech, so yes.

my "newest" consone is a SNES, so yes, I call a XBOX 360 modern ;)

I even bought Wanderlust during the sale, because it reminded me of Secret of Mana (I even watched some gameplay), but man, was I disappointed :(

Sadly, Chrono Trigger was never released in Europe :(

uh... you could just use a projector...
which I do for parties anyway

[edit]
can't find it right now, but there's a less-distracting way to mod your screen with color LEDs all around the outside edge behind it -- colors are dependent on what's being displayed onscreen, so it'd work with anything, not just games programmed to take advantage of it. imho, much better than this.
[edit2] found it (again, less distracting is why I prefer this -- Illumiroom reminds me of the Virtual Boy... great idea, but it won't be fun to use. I could be wrong) [/edit2]

Too much field of view. There's a set FoV for a reason. This video gave me a headache.

I didn't say it didn't look cool, I only think it's not useful for pc gamers :P

It looks like it would work with PC games also from what I saw. I might be misinformed though.

This is just a proof of concept. :P I want to see the real thing in action, not some mocked up video bursting with adobe after effects.

My Lord. Once again they take something old, make it work half as well, convince consumers that it's something new that they've gotta have, and then sell it for several times the price. It's just a freaking HD projector! They're cheap nowadays and work well, assuming you don't buy a low-lumen POS. Just look for something that's 1080p/HDMI and has a good bulb life (5000+ hours, and $30-50 tops for replacement bulbs). 300-400 bucks and you're gaming on a giant screen that fills your entire wall. Love it.

It's the same thing they did with tablets. I paid a few hundred bucks for a nice touchscreen tablet laptop, and a little later they begin marketing some piece of garbage "tablet" that barely has any comparable functionality, limited memory and next to nothing for hard drive space and has double the price tag. Insanity.

i was wondering if i was the only one who noticed. also, you might want to look into HD LED lit Beamers to increase the life of your bulbs significantly :)

This looks great. If you want to have a disco in your room I mean. Otherwise I don't see the point of it, and for games it just looks distracting and it wouldn't improve the game in any way.

Looks nice but I don't see a practical purpose for this (other than wasting processing power). And there are also TVs available that can at already project the color from the image on walls.
